I so understand about that craving, i was a take it or leave person with peanut butter, but man for awhile thats all i thought about...lol kinda nuts.

I did a phase off for a week conference and during phase 3 i had the peanut butter it was so good!

But now day 3 back on this, and man is it tough, i'm happy to be back on it just now my body says "what no cookies? but we've had cookies all last week! i need cookies." I have to tell it no cookies, you can have lettuce and veggies, you enjoyed it before you'll enjoy it again! You didn't like how you felt with the cookies, now you'll feel better again!

Oh and on a wicked good note, my regular dr is so happy went from a 7.1 to 5.1 on my blood sugar since February and completly off all diabetic drugs, and at half my blood pressure med.
The clothes and looking good part of this diet but knowing i'm making my body healthy as well is what really gets me excited.

long winded will stop, thanks for reading.
Missed this site last week, glad to see everyone is doing well and the whoosh fairy has been working for lots!

Well, day 5 of IP, and I have NOT been very good on it. I still have my daughter and grandkids here from AK. They willl be leaving this Sunday :-(. The only good thing about it is that i can and WILL go back to 100% IP. I am doing IP morning and afternoon and then dinner isn't all IP. I ate some cake last night and some triscuits. However, the good news is this!!!! I am still down some weight!! As of this morning I was 187...yahoo! I am on lunch now eating broccoli leftover from last night (cooked in coconut oil) with my broccoli and cheese IP soup, it's good! :-)

But, I signed the paperwork, the for-sale sign is in the yard and the realtor/photographer just stopped by to take pictures, so it is finally happening !!!! Should be on the MLS by tomorrow and I can tell you the number so you can see my house!

Good news: my cholesterol and blood sugar were great! I am back to taking my morning hikes in the beautiful forest across the road from me, and trying to increase the distance a little bit every few days. It feels so good to be in there again...talking to the trees.

In progress: figuring out how to maintain a steady blood sugar level. The diet may have given my pancreas a rest, but it is not 'normal' yet, so I am struggling a bit to figure out the right combo of carb/fat/protein in meals and snacks so that I can actually live this way forever. I am determined to figure it out and still deliriously happy that I did IP.

Even better news: the dulcimer festival was a complete blast, and this past weekend, I played at a local Woody Guthrie celebration, playing 4 songs he recorded. There were at least 20 musicians in the show and it was very cool to see the different styles and arrangements. They had me open the show and the audience was incredible. My ego is up in the clouds right now...

Hope you are all well and making great progress on your journeys. I gotta go clean the inside of my refrigerator...they didn't need that for photos!

Margaret

Never heard anyone say NOT to have the protein - in fact, most of what I read is the opposite - make sure you get all your food in. I don't even know what Rocket Fuel is...

Had a great birthday yesterday. My awesome parents suprised me by paying off my wedding pictures for me. I attached one of my favorites. My DH loves me no matter what size, and because of IP... I have changed how I look at myself. Even though I am at my heaviest in my dress I don't see that. Between IP and the Dearest Husband in the world they have changed my life.

There you are! Was getting worried about where you were...., I'm a Real Estate Broker in WA State, What is the MLS #, I'm sure it will show up online, and who knows, there might be someone here that wants to move to your area... nice to see you're back!

The answer is always no and then when I reluctanly go check, I look like a complete and total wreck. Hopefully, IP will help cure my aversion to mirrors so I don't scare people in the stores anymore. Once I can look in mirrors again maybe I'll allow photographs? I have been the family photographer for years, because being behind the camera is the only safe place for me to be.
Bite the bullet and take photos through out your weight loss. Sometimes we don't see the changes ourselves until we actually see ourselves in a photo.
