I am going to drive myself crazy! The scale moved 2 pounds up!!! Today. This after yesterday, which was a good phase 1 day and included an excellent 60 minute buddy pump type class.

I am able to wear my smallest pants today as well. Maybe my scale is broken ;)
I should throw it away!

I am hoping it whooshes away in the next day or 2. I am in meetings for 2 days, so I can't get to weigh in until Thursday.

I know when I rebooted in January I had similar issues. After a small initial loss it took longer than I expected to get the scale down to 145. I guess I just need patience!

Hello everyone. I am fairly new to maintenance and had a week of " a little of this a little of that " and it ended up causing me to gain 4 pounds. Hmm, lesson learned!!! I did a few phase 1 days and I feel sooooo much better. Back down to goal and not bloated anymore. Phase 3 is so much easier for me to follow on a daily basis. I am just going to stick with doing that for a while longer. I have got to get my head wrapped around this.

I had the EXACT SAME THING - except it was 7lb! Back down again though...definitely taking baby steps for sure!

I was just checking over the challenge today. Not sure how many of you have signed up but there were only 3 of us that reported yesterday and from my understanding there are are quite a few more than that participating... Not sure if everyone realized that we check in on a weekly basis each Monday... So just wanted to comment as I know it can be a bit difficult trying to figure out new websites...
SewingMomma- Congrats on reaching goal and receiving your well deserved peanut butter reward! The new tastes of Phase 3 are always sooooo good when they have been gone for soooo long :)
Mom2cs- step away from the scale!!! If you are phase 1ing don't bother torturing yourself with anything more than weekly WI's. I swear sometimes the scale knows what we are looking for and endeavors to give us the exact opposite. A huge congrats on your smallest pair of jeans fitting!!! Still anxiously awaiting that moment myself but I'll get there... In a few weeks : P
Maile- after writing about the bok Choy I decided on it for my own supper... Go figure... It really is quite good though if you like 'Asian inspired' foods. Sorry to hear of your stress at work... Will it diminish as the school year progresses?
Loco- great job on the exercise!
Ishbel- I am going to explore the wilds of Utah- Zion National park. My understanding is that this place is quite close to the Biggest Loser Ranch. My friend found it- she is taking a baby moon a gift from her husband before she goes back to work- and thankfully is quite fitness oriented herself. Had to laugh because she chose the activities she wanted to do and emailed them to me and they were an exact match to the ones I wanted to do. You know you're meant to be friends when...
Have you chosen your venue yet? Are you doing a church wedding or outside? I planned mine for the winter. Way less competition... And I always wanted one of those fur lined cloaks... Which I rented for the day along with pretty much everything else except for the groom & the dress :). Lucked out with a beautiful day and no blizzard but I did feel like ai was tempting the fates a bit with that one living where we do...

Cap, is there a place to checkin for the fat secret challenge? I did that here. I will have to look at that site in more detail when I've got my laptop and not just my cellphone.

When in 'myfatsecret' (this is a tab option at the top of the screen if you aren't already in 'myfatsecret' click on the 'challenges' button on the right hand side of the page. It's usually within an orange/ yellow box that lists weight, friends, tracking etc. You WI in first and then it will pose the challenge questions to you...

I found it, thank you! I guess when I was there before, it was too early to check-in, and that is why I didn't see the challenge guidelines.

My Weigh in Report
You lost 0.5 lb (0.4 %) since you last weighed in on Friday 07 Sep 12.
At that rate it will take you about 7 months to get to your goal weight.
Ugh. It's only 8.5 pounds!

I just started week 2 of phase 3. I find that I need to really plan ahead and fix my lunch meals ahead of time. I am full from breakfast, and actually forget to eat my lunch at work! Go figure.

Phase 3 is not as automatic as phase 1, which I loved. Wish I could eat phase one forever.

But I just don't think THAT would work!
Good luck and enjoy your breakfasts!

So I want to learn from you two. What do you think you did to make you gain? Can I avoid that?

Thanks

Delgen- Stick to the phase 4 rules and you should be fine. I just let myself stray a little to often and had a long weekend of eating whatever due to traveling out of town. I wasn't as careful as I should have been. I haven't had much sugary stuff. I am trying to avoid anything sweet. I don't want to start craving that stuff at all.

mooselover 09-18-2012 09:54 PM

LizRR - Glad I am not the only one LOL!!! Maintenance is all about learning your own limits, so I am going to live and learn. Thank goodness for phase 1. I was so nervous to step back on the scale and was soooo happy when it was back to my new normal.

Thanks!
I agree about sweets. I want to avoid them.

I really found maintaining worked if I was very strict during the week and more flexible on the weekend.

But longer periods of easy eating require longer stints of phase 1.
