Olive Oil or Coconut Oil
Just curious which oil you use. This is what I found when comparing;
Coconut oil does not become rancid and provides a large number of health benefits, including improved thyroid function. Olive oil is more common and has a wider range of applications (currently), but is in fact a completely different kind of oil, composed of monounsaturated fats. While both options appear to be healthier than consuming fully saturated or polyunsaturated fats, their spheres of application do not completely intersect, and there are unique uses for each. I use both with no rhyme or reason. :)

I would use cocunut oil on sweeter dishes and eggs, and olive oil on savory stuff. Olive oil is very good for you too, you know... ;)

I am in Maintenance and just tried coconut oil. I didn't taste much of a difference in the stir-fry I made, but I think it has a higher smoke point than olive oil, so I'll keep using both.
I had not tried it in Phase 1 because I thought we were only allowed olive oil? Things could have changed since I started, though... |
I use both also. I think they each are good in their own way. I use the coconut oil on my skin and it is good for burns and such.
