want to try again

I have been lurking here for a while but decided to be brave and post today. I did IP two years ago and I was able to lose 21 pounds in four weeks. I was thrilled with the results but due to some unrelated health problems stopped the program.
I am wanting to get back on the program again, even went and saw my coach, made the commitment, bought food and req. supplements.... and I only made it 1 day before I quit.
My head hurt so badly I could hardly stand it and I felt like I was starving and nauseous at the same time. I remember from my initial time on the program that there were some side effects but things like drinking some salt water would relive the pain. I have never had a headache like this time in my life . I would like to try again but I'm wondering if others have had such reactions? I was in so much pain and on edge the entire day.
I am wondering if I should first try the alternative protocol?
Has anyone on here had success following that protocol?
I want so badly to get rid of this weight, but I'm wife and mother to three boys and can't spend my summer on the couch. HELP

You can totally do this- you just have to break through that wall. Have you tried taking tylenol? I know a lot of people don't like to, but honestly it was my saving grace the first 3 days.

YOU CAN DO THIS.

You CAN do this!

Just like the previous person said - You CAN do this!

I understand what you are going through. I went through 3 bad days at the beginning and took Advil and not Tylenol to get me through, but keep it close by. My coach was awesome and called me everyday for the first 4 days to make sure I was doing well and helping me out with any problems.

I did fall "off the program" about a week ago and went through the headache and tummy problems for the first day, but the next day was fine.

You can get through the bad days and in the end feel incredible and have the energy to keep up with your kids and family.

We are hear for you! Good Luck.

You will feel the same way during the first few days following an alternative program as well.

Your body is going through a detox of sorts..and it really stinks. I had headaches like no other.. you just gotta take it or try to take something to help it.

Thanks so much for the encouraging words! It's nice just to know that your not alone on this journey. I have been so impressed by the determination and commitment of so many on this board. I am going to try again and just power through the initial headaches etc. Thanks for the advice on tylenol and advil if it gets as bad as it was I will surely take some.

It's all about making decisions like that!
