What is 100%

Hello,

I want to be 100% but I don't want to cheat myself out of things I could have and still be 100%. I know the basics follow the sheet don't cheat on eating tomatoes everyday get in your oils take your vitamins twice a day drink your water. But what else do you or don't you do to be 100%? Can you use Mio and Walden Farms? Do you put splenda in your coffee? Please share what people feel is 100% I want to try to join the club :carrot:

If your coach allows it then you are 100% OP. So if you use MIO, WF or crystal light....you are still 100% OP....anything that is allowed OP is still considered 100%. That is what I consider 100%

The Phase 1 sheet says what vegees and meats are allowed, and how often to have them. Anything else has to fit the 0-0-0 rule, 0 calories, 0 carbs, 0 sugar. So can use the WF products and Splenda. Some people find their sweet cravings increase though, so you might want to keep an eye on that. The Splenda does not generate an insulin reaction, but the brain does perceive it as sweet and tells you to want more...

It's always best to check with your coach though, just to be sure.

Can you use WF with each meal per day? Is there a limit to what you should be having? For example...yesterday I had:

Breakfast - IP Vanilla Shake with 1tbs of WF peanut spread
Lunch - IP Mush. Soup and salad with 1tbs of WF french dressing
Dinner - Big Mac in a bowl with 2tbs WF TI dressing (delish BTW!!!)
Snack - IP Choc pudding shake with 1tbs WF peanut spread and 1 tbs WF choc syrup

...am I overdoing it using WF with every meal?

My coach said I could have as much as I wanted. I could drink it right out of the bottle if I wanted. I did not feel comfortable with that even though it is 0/0/0. So I use it once or twice a day at most. What does your coach say?.

I have my first WI this week and that is a question I have for her. She said WF is fine in phase I but I forgot to ask how much per day. She also said to be careful of fruit herbal teas but I see that lots of people drink them on here so for now I have put all of my teas with fruit pieces or chocolate on the shelf even though they state 0 cal, 0 fat and 0 carb. Maybe I am being too paranoid?

My coach limits me to 2 tsp of WF products per day. I really wasnt using too much to begin with, maybe 2 tbsp per day and when I cut it down I lost more. Could be a coincidence, maybe not. All those extras add up though and can create more cravings.

My coach advised me to try and limit the '0/0/0 freebies' to 6 or less a day (Splenda, WF, miracle noodles, etc). Just FYI, the FDA allows anything with less than 5 calories to be labeled "0". Example: A packet of Splenda has 4 calories and ~1 carb, so just assume each serving of the freebies adds a carb to your intake. Depending on your bodies carb sensitivity and daily intake it can add up - I had a friend (not IPer) who would put TWELVE Splenda packets into ONE cup of coffee! An extreme example for sure!

Agreed...100% :D

I have a very strict coach but the rule for my clinic is you can have 4 packets of Splenda per day, and 1 TBSP of WF products = 1 splenda. (So...if I don't use any splenda packets I can have 4 TBSP of WF products...when I had rhubarb and put 4 Splenda in it, I couldn't have any WF that day...) It's working fine for me this way so I'm not messing with it!

Chikara 04-30-2012 02:45 PM

Yikes!!! Good to know. I will limit my intake per day to be safe.

galpal445 05-01-2012 05:20 PM

By the way...the 0/0/0 is 0 carbs/0 fat/0 sugar. :)

JoesHotWife 05-01-2012 10:19 PM

Since anything containing .999 carb can be labeled as 0 carb, "hidden" carbs can add up fast and do damage. WF products, gum, Mio, splenda, stevia, truvia...all have hidden carbs. These products are vital to the success of some folks and others can "take 'em or leave 'em". Splenda gives me cravings. It is what works for you. I think, if you can, you set yourself up for greater success by using the fewest number of chemicals. Just my 2 cents worth.

Crystal light is ok? I felt guilty having a glass at dinner thinking it's a no-no due to the aspartame!
