Good luck everyone! I can't wait until I can phase off too :)
|
Well those of you who told me to try and cut breads were right! The last few days I have enjoying my breakfasts with minimal amounts of grains and I am finally starting to feel better! Less bloated, not as tired, and most importantly not disappointed :D
PLUS at my WI a learned that I only gained 1.4 lbs during the two weeks of phase 3!! YIPPEE! Not bad! I am officially starting phase 4. Looks like I know understand that balancing and experimenting are very crucial for success in these later phases. Thanks everyone for being so helpful and positive! |
Oh, this is so helpful. I will not add bread. And glad to see, SaraBean, that you did not put on too much. So, I will be prepared. I move to P3 in a few days. I have been buying clothes and did not want to be in trouble.

Good for you!!! I was one who suggested checking the bread. I have done well on phase 3 this week when I eliminated the bread. It was the bloating and tiredness you mentioned that alerted me that you might have a bread issue. That is how I feel with most grains.I also have a rapid weight gain with it. That said, adding back bread is not an issue for most people. Many people maintain or continue to lose on phase 3. I would not eliminate it unless after a few days you really find you have no energy and are bloated and regaining quickly. If that didn't happen with me I sure wouldn't eliminate the bread as social affairs are harder without it. But for a few people as Sara found out it does cause issues. Great news on your minimal gain on two weeks of phase3 Sara! |

Good luck to you and thank you for doing this important work! |
Just read the update...good for you Sarah!
Pat - I LOVE how you and others have shown that one size does not fit all, and we need to listen to our bodies, more than ever, as we go into Phase 4. Phase 1 was meant to be very structured, but now we are on our own and the really exciting part begins, where we figure what will work for us long term to maintain weight and love life! Perhaps IP was less specific in this area on purpose... Yahoo! |
Yes. We are all different! Bread and I are also not friends.!
