I left with my food for the week, and floated on a cloud all of the way home!
Great job! You're on your way. :

I'm having trouble locating the tangerine flavored Mio. Is it new? I'd like to try it in either the vanilla pudding or the shake.

First, 2 lbs is awesome. It all adds up so quickly! Just did some shopping yesterday. Besides giving me encouragement because the sizes, it also felt great to be in some pants that didn't look like my grandfathers. Go consignment or sale and just buy basics! I just got 1 pair of jean capris and 1 pair of shorts. I don't care if everyone I knows gets sick of seeing me in them

My good news! My DD delivered a baby girl yesterday! (so, I was at hospital all day, which is why not as many veggies as I should have. But I did drink a lot of water and went to the cafe and had the worst hamburger patty and overcooked cauliflower ever - in an attempt to stay OP!)
Welcome to Aubrey Grace!!!
Super exciting! Congrats on the baby AND staying OP!

Hello all, hope everyone had a great day. It was back to my work routine today and I missed checking in here throughout the day. I had my first WI today and was down 9. I know a lot is water but still I was happy to see it. On to week two!

Even though your daughter is not diabetic, could that be happening here? I don't know...but it's worth a call to your doctor. After a few months, I dropped my blood pressure meds, including a diuretic, so that could be it too.

Good luck - I hope she feels better.
Thank you, I will have her contact her Dr.

Wow, busy day on here. Congrats to everyone on their losses. WI today -1.4 and another inch everywhere. That makes for a little over 20lbs. Feeling good about any loss especially the inches.

Default Wi # 10

Had my WI # 10 today, down 2.2 lbs. and 3.80 inches. Since I started IP on Feb. 26 I am down 35.2 lbs. and 35.74 inches, can't beat that with a stick, lol! This is actually the lowest loss I have had since starting but I'm not complaining as long as the scale is going down..!

My coach says yes to listerine sheets, I use them.

As for the collagen, I had this discussion tonight with my coach. She said that all of the other protein packs contain all 8 essential nutrients you need but the two packs that have the collagen only contain 7. So if you have them daily, time and time again, then you'll be missing out on that extra 1 amino acid on a cumulative basis and that can have long term implications on your overall health.

IP apparently makes a liquid collagen that you can buy from them - she's going to order some in for me next month as I'm already having some skin issues and want to be proactive if I can.

Today was my first WI, lost 7.2 lbs!! I was so excited, even more excited when my coach measured me and I lost 10 inches in my hips alone! Whoa, didn't know that was possible. I am motivated more then ever to keep it up. I couldn't wait to get home and share with my new family. Thanks for all the encouraging words I read each day.

To touch on the PCOS thing again, I have PCOS and was insulin resistant and on metformin then shortly after was diagnosed as being diabetic.

PCOS is a real challenge where weight loss is concerned. Especially if she's insulin resistant. Yes, metformin is a challenge to take but it really does make an overall difference so if her doctor feels it's right for her I'd do everything you can to encourage her to stay on it despite the fact that it's not a fun ride. Talk to her doctor, of course!, to make sure that all's working as it should, but it really does have a huge impact on overall health.

Metformin works by reducing the amount of glucose made by the liver and by making it easier for glucose to enter into the tissues of the body. So it's not as integral to lowering blood sugars as insulin is, for example. But again, testing is key! Does she usually test her blood sugar at all to track responses?
