Thanks to Our Support Teams!

I've been on IP for a whole week now, made it through that horrible first 3-4 days, and am starting to get used to this, but it's been a tough ride. My "support team" (aka, DH) has been great - he's taken over the grocery shopping, 'cause I can't handle walking through the supermarket right now, he's been rubbing my legs when I get cramps, and he's done his darnedest to make sure he avoids whatever foods I'm currently craving. I've told him how much I appreciate him, but I want to share it with the world, too.

So, here's to all the support teams out there - husbands, wives, friends, internet buddies, moms, dads, sisters, whoever - THANK YOU!

I second that!! At first my husband thought it was just another diet with no weight loss in sight and I would be done with it soon. I started the week before Thanksgiving and am still going. I have had slow losses but I am okay with that and I love the tape measure even more than the scale. I think the biggest support I have gotten has been on this site! I am so impressed by everyone on their losses and even temporary gains with not much complaints.

I live alone, but really came to appreciate my terrific coaches and now, all of you.

Thornbaby - If you get muscle cramps, make sure you are getting your cal-mags, or take more of them, or another magnesium supplement. It helps. Also, make sure you get enough water because I think dehydration can cause muscle cramps. I used to get charlie horses in the beginning too.
===> I just remembered that potassium deficiency can cause the muscle cramps too, so make sure you get your pot-cal in the morning. You don't want to overdo potassium, though - there is a high/low range that is safe for the heart, so if this continues, you might want to get a blood test to see if your levels are low.
