Apparently her Mom is an amazing cook and makes the juiciest turkey. I want to go obviously and my friend knows my restrictions but I'm still concerned about saying no to the majority of the meal. Also I would normally bring a dessert or a bottle of wine but don't want to bring something I'm going to say no to myself. Any ideas? suggestions?

I would still bring the desert or wine if you're fine with not having it...otherwise some flowers would be appropriate...With turning down the food just do it graciously and let the host know how lovely everything is and you're their mostly for the people...(and tell the host you would love to be invited back to really enjoy all the lovely cooking...) :) Happy Easter!

One thing I have been noticing and wondering about: most people (myself included) seem to be at such a small dress size for their weight. I am wearing an 8-10 right now, but typically at this weight I would be a size 12. Not complaining though, just noticing!

I hover just above 145, same height, and wear a 4 dress or top and a small 6 pants. I used to wear theses sizes when I was 135 pounds...
I agree. Ip compacts you!

I offered to bring a big salad for everyone and then I know I can enjoy it too if I pack my WF :)

Awesome job!! I'm 5 8 and large boned...I currently weigh 158 and am a size 8 on bottoms and a medium on top! This weight would typically make me a 10/12! I was an 6/8 in HS! I can't believe it! Lots of women experience this on IP!

Good Morning IPeeps,
Boy is it a chilly morning here in Tennessee, but beautiful. Just jumped on here real quick to try and do a little catching up. Just wanted to say Good Morning to everyone, CONGRATULATIONS on all the losses so far this week. Awesome losses. And remember everyone, not matter how small you loss is, it is a great loss. It's just that much less you are carrying on your body this week than you were last week. Any loss is a VICTORY!!! Your body is just trying to play catch up and adjust to what you have lost so far. Good luck to those who still have to weigh in.

One of my dear friends that I work with Geri has finally got herself in the mindset that she is going to start this plan, (the Alternative) along with her daughter Lynette, (who has been lurking her for the past couple of days non stop) and Lynette's friend. We were supposed to get together yesterday afternoon and I was going to answer questions etc... But Lynette's freind hurt herself yesterday morning while fishing and Lynette went over to help her out. We may be getting together tomorrow tho. I am so excited for them!!! Lynette, if you are lurking, you need to join and chime in.
She may need a litte encouragement from all the wonderful IPeeps.

Have a great OP day!!!!

It is exciting to have new people try this! Keep up the inspiration!

Bring a salad and have fun! That is what a celebration is all about, and you can eat the turkey!

Keep up the good work!

As for me, I am 49 years old today! Wow, that sounds kinda old! But I know that when I turn 50 next year, I will not be obese. I like that thought Older and better!
I hope everyone has a great day! Stay OP!

I was told by the IP Director of Development that IP is a "body reshaping" diet. It is a fat burning diet, so we are going to see leaner more appealing bodies. Muscle will show after the fat burns off :)

That is a fabulous amount of weight to lose in such a short period of time. You have all systems firing!

I agree, we seem to be wearing smaller sizes than our weight would typically require. Don't know why, but not complaining!

Goldenrod,
That's terrific!

Hello friends! I have been MIA for sometime now. I hope to participate more now. I seem to be on track and losing slowly...but surely. I am very happy and thankful for the spring weather, flowers and sunshine. They all brighten my days. I hope to be outside more taking in the sunshine and being more active. I will see a doctor on Tuesday to see if I need another surgery. If I do, I hope to schedule it for mid-June. I am hoping the surgery will help with my mobility and activity level. I would like to take this opportunity to wish everyone an Easter Holiday filled with blessings.
