Soy Sauce vs Soya Sauce

My coach said I could use anything as long as it was 0/0/0 - which Soy Sauce is. (but it does list 2g protein per TBSP)
However, I see on my sheet that the program recommends Soya Sauce, which has 2g carbs and 1 g sugar per TBSP
Why would IP prefer Soya Sauce?

Not all soy sauce is 0/0/0. Kikoman low sodium isn't but the regular kikoman is. Just be sure to read the labels and if it's 0/0/0 you can use a serving size. personally, I've never had soya sauce.

I wouldn't use the soya if it has sugar. You can make your own with stevia or splenda if you want to make a teriaki sauce. I use a an organic low-sodium tamari sauce, which is also soy based. It is brewed. Don't get the cheaper stuff that is not brewed - it doesn't taste the same.
