I haven't caught up on any of the board yet but wanted to share this with y'all before I am on the road again.....
Hey everyone, I have been on the road most well all of the day BUT I had a "moment" today...here it goes.....
I was in line at the pharmacy at walmart, the lady in front of me was all talking to the girl behind the counter never noticing me behind her. When she noticed someone was behind her she said oh I am sorry didn't realize you were there, I said oh its ok no biggie, she looked at me and her mouth dropped to the floor. I knew who she was, I used to work with her its been a year since she has seen me. She couldn't say anything she just hugged me and busted out crying, the lady behind the counter looked at me confused. My friend let go of me by the shoulder's looked at me again and hugged me again still crying her eyes out. The lady says I think this is a "moment" I said the last time she saw me I was 134lbs heavier, her mouth dropped as well.....lol.....that was the first time that someone has reacted to me like that but then again its the first person that has seen me since for the first time since starting the program. I have had a good day that is for sure.....lol

That's awesome!! And certainly sounds like a really special moment It's times like these that make any struggle or discomfort we all may go through completely worth it.

I believe it's a brand of water flavor. Sort of like the Crystal Light packages that you can add to a bottle of water, but this is a liquid that gets added.

AFM, I'm a little nervous about tonight. My husband's former boss is having us over for a pizza dinner. I don't really feel comfortable bringing my own food so I'm hoping that they'll have a nice, big salad there that I can fill up on. I'm going to stare at my weight loss chart that I have up on our fridge as motivation before we head over!

I woke up feel "skinny" today too! I love those days!
I've had people comment about my complexion as well. The program must change something there other than making our faces thinner!
I like mani/pedi's as rewards. Also, clothing is a great reward depending on the milestone. I did a reward at my first mini-goal of 10% of my weight (mani). I just reached onederland and contemplating what my next reward will be. I like to do gel nails, so maybe I'll get a new color to wear for spring!
I love "shopping" in my own closet. I just pulled a shirt out this morning that I hadn't worn in a while because it was too tight. Fits great today!

What a great first week! Keep up the good work- you will see results (either scale, inches or clothes getting looser). I am basically a newbie myself (3 weeks) and the fast results is the best incentive

Everyone sounds so up today on this thread. That's good. I can add to this with my yipee as I lost 4 lbs at my WI. I've been in the ones and twos for weeks and weeks.
All day I was looking forward to leftover stir fry and some miracle noodles. Came home all excited after that WI to find DH had eaten the leftover stir fry. He'd just made himself a huge pot of homemade spaghetti sauce and lots of pasta for him for dinners and to take for his lunches, yet he ate the stir fry. Oh well. I was able to find some extra lean taco meat I'd made sometime ago and froze, so I had a taco salad.
Glad to see everyone having a good time towards the weekend.

that's wonderful!! I went to my doctor today and the nurse hadn't seen me in awhile, she said she didn't recognize me at first! My BP and cholesteral were a little elevated, but the doc said he wasn't worried, that in 3 months, after the body has had a chance to stabilize the weight loss, we'll recheck. So, no new meds, which is what I wanted to hear.
Then, just for grins, I went shopping and tried on some dress pants in a size...10, and they fit!!! I can't remember ever being a size 10. This is unbelievable! I'm so tired I can hardly think, but am happy as a clam!!!!
It's times like these that make any struggle or discomfort we all may go through completely worth it.
