Weighing in weekly and phase 1 days are key to maintenance.
I'm not in maintenance yet, but I just jotted down your schedule for when I am - that seems like something I can stick to, with a little fun built in. I really like the structure of Phase 1, and maintenance was scaring me but this schedule gives me hope! Thank you!

Rebooting for my second time this summer (once in June and now here I am in August again). Got down to goal the first time but then didn't phase off properly (wouldn't recommend this approach ). Summer is not a good time to try and follow a strict regime... Here's to slimming down for fall and keeping it off for the winter so that I can regain it next summer and repeat. Cheers! Shannon

Good Morning IPer's,

Been in maintaince 4 1/2 months. I find that doing two days of phrase one (sunday -monday) works for me. Have even lost ten pounds during this time. This gives me ability to have pizza on a Friday night or a night out with friends without any regrets. Hope everyone has a great weekend

So that is kinda two free MEALS instead of one free day. I like it!

Hi Cap, LOL. Your "repeat" sentence made me laugh!!! Thanks!!!

I'm trying to figure out a good reboot. This entire week has been my best maintenance week ever! I've been so faithful. I'm having my "fun" day tomorrow but only one meal. It will be dinner. Then I'll follow it with two P1 days. I just can't commit to a full blown reboot. Right now I'm 7 over...and I've only been in main. since April (oops)... So good to have the tools to get back down. What a relief! (I was 15 over, but the 8 came off pretty quickly with my reboot method)...Hopefully the remaining 7 won't be far behind.

Good luck to you!!!

So, I tried doing P3 for a week and it didn't help much....so I'm taking advice from others and doing an official reboot (I think it is). Right now I'm on day 2 of P1, and feel pretty good. Hopefully it won't take long to shake this extra seven pounds and get back to goal! Hope everyone else is doing well rebooting!

Summer is tough!! I am 5 pounds up.

What do people mean when they talk about "bootcamp"? Is that supposed to speed things up?

My coach said many people reboot in Septemer (after summer) and/or January (after the holidays.)

To lose 5 pounds, he suggested 2 weeks P1 followed by 3 days P2 and 3 days P3. (more or less time on P1 as needed.)

I am sure there are other reboots methods out there.

I was just coming on line to ask about different ways to do it! You must have read my mind . I'm on day 3 of P1 and I feel great. Stupid me this Saturday is my DH birthday and I didn't consider that before getting on the reboot wagon!!! (oops). I hope it doesn't take two weeks to lose it...oh well, gotta stick it out now!!! Can't wait to lose the extra weight! Good luck all!!!

I too am on day 2 of my reboot. I have rebooted several times over my 15 months in maintenance, but only had 5-6 pounds to lose...this time about 18 pounds. My plan is 4 weeks of phase 1 then my first weigh in (not worried about not weighing in, because I am going 100%), then I will stay on phase 1 or 2 until I am 5 pounds below my goal to account for the phase 3, carb induction gain that I get. Then I will do a week of phase 2, phase 3, and phase 4, before adding any cheat days...let's see how it goes.

My earlier reboots were about 10 days of phase 1 or 2 (both are ketosis and similar fat/less carbs in phase 2/but a few more calories in phase 2), and 3 days of phase 3/4. But had to bring on the big guns for this reboot!

I would say good luck but don't think you need it. You know you can do it. I'm on day 4 of P1 and it's great. I have 5-7 to lose. I was successfully maintaining the 5-7 over so once I get back down to goal I'll follow the plan and stay on track.

My plan is to do P1 for two weeks or less. I don't want to stay in Ketosis much longer. Fortunately I didn't have a hard time adjusting to P1 (nothing like when I first started)!!! LOL! Can't wait to reach goal or get closer!

Question for ya. When you did your earlier reboots did they work?

Today was a perfect start for me! I am going to go weigh in tomorrow. I think I might need the accountability. I know my coach well.

I just did reboots as part of maintenance...I went into maintenance in May of 2011...did my first reboot in September and ended up going about 10 pounds below my goal (didn't last, gained 5 carb induction quickly). Next reboot was New Year's...good back to goal weight, next was May (before summer) back to goal weight....then I was in maintenance one full year and I stopped all phase 1 days and was eating out a ton, and gained 5 pounds before I left for Vegas, 10 pounds on a 12 day trip to Vegas, and then 3 more right after Vegas. In the past, after my vacation (I take a few a year), I did 4-7 days of phase 1 until my weight was back to pre-vacation...I was a fool! Lesson learned...back to the routine that kept it all off for a year.

I can feel ketosis coming on...5am on the start of day 3...good thing.

Where do you live in NE? I am from VT...live in the Lake George, NY area now.

Hi, I'm in CT in a suburb of Hartford. I've seen you post about the casinos. My DH and I love going to Mohegan. Well, I do and he just amuses me by taking me!!! It's the only place in CT you can get good food!! We've been to Foxwoods too, but prefer the smallness of Mohegan. Do you have a preference? I did have a great meal at Foxwoods...one thing was a side of truffled mac and cheese!!! UGH! YUMMO!!!

I'm on day 5 of my reboot and it's going really well. I just wish I took the advice of someone (a few weeks ago) who said to do a reboot then to lose the weight! It really is coming off!!! I was only 7 pounds over and then during my last cheat I gained and didn't lose the weigh so it became a true 10 pounds over... Totally stinks..BUT now I'm only 6 over!!! WOO HOO!!! Three more pounds and my pants will feel so much better and than three more I'll be at goal and satisfied!!!

Count me in on the post labor day reboot. I am back from vacation and shooting for 100%. I have gained back 15-17 of the original 32..that is not very good. I always gain wieght in the summer, so I have been planning this reboot for a while now. I must admit it was nice to be 16 lbs thinner this summer than last summer so I am going to work this program and do a good reboot! I don't have a time frame in mind yet, just one day at a time.

Good luck and have a good day!
