Congratulations, One day I hope to be a coach as well. I have done 2 testimonials, One I drove an hour away to do. I didn't know anyone, I was looking for a clinic for a friend there and saw that they were having an open house so I emailed them my pics so they could show people how well the program works. She asked if I would come talk to everyone, I said sure. There were like 15 people there and EVERYONE signed UP....I was nervous, but very honest with them. Told them how even though you are 100% OP you may still have weeks where you gain or don't lose but this is your body adjusting to the weight you have loss so far. Never get discouraged even though you have low numbers. Those numbers on the scale are just that NUMBERS, its about how you feel and the way your clothes fit. I brought with me one of my 5x polo shirts I used to wear for work that was getting to small, needless to say, a few mouths dropped.

My next goal besides getting to my weight goal is to become that coach!

Thats incredible! Its so empowering to be passionate about something and feel like you can get out of your comfort zone to let people hear your story!! You've had an amazing journey and I think that one day, the right opportunity will come along and you'll be a fabulous coach!!! And its good to have a visual, besides pictures!!!

100% OP is the only way to go. WI #8 today, lost 4 pounds, for a total of 31 pounds. Love the Ideal Protein protocol!

Happy Weekend to all of you!!

I am feeling a bit challenged today. I was sick yesterday - tummy troubles, Big D, nausea, etc. - and today I am still feeling worn out. I was too sick to eat dinner last night, but I managed to have a packet of the IP mashed potatoes and that made me feel a bit better. Today I am back to eating my "normal" IP diet minus the lettuce to help with the Big D issues.

I am proud for staying as OP as possible through this. Hope I still qualify for 100%...

I am only on week # 3 but I have done IP before last summer. I quit and wished I had not :( Can anyone tell me how much excercise they are doing? When I was seeing a coach she did not want me lifting weights. She said walk. I have to tell you, I don't like having flabby arms! That will get worse if I keep losing and don't life weights or use toning bands.

Thanks for any advice!
Tina

I exercise 6 days a week for 60 minutes or so. I do everything from spin to bootcamp to zumba (no yoga, to "calm" for me)! I did this for years before IP. If you already exercise then I would ease back into it after the first week. If not, I really think waiting until you are well into phase 1 is better. Weight loss will probably be faster no exercising. Toning can always come later.

Happy friday again. I have a question. Someone told me that if I don't have my milk I can have an equivalant amount of Feta cheese on my salad. Is this true? Has anyone else heard that?

Question for you all...I've been having lots of tummy troubles this week, always after I have my restricted, whether it's afternoon or evening. Basically, it feels like it hits my stomach with a thud and then sits there, so I feel a bit nauseous. I had diarrhea on Wednesday pretty bad also. Anyone know what could be up? Should I cut out restricteds for a while?

I would wait at least another week or two before starting to exercise. Give your. body time to adjust to the reduced calories. I mostly strength train about 3 days per week with some light cardio on the other days.

Check to see if your restricted have sugar alcohols. Some do. They can cause GI upet, including gas, diarrhea and nausea. I had to switch to a different bar.

Thanks, I will check them right now.

ETA: Just checked. I've got the Healthsmart Peanut Butter Bars and Caramel Crunch bars, as well as the Proti-thin Chocolate Soy Puffs. The only one with a sugar alcohol (maltitol) is the caramel crunch bar. But it seems to be happening with all three. There is some sugar in all of them, but as far as I know, IP has sugar in some of their restricteds as well? Anyway, maybe I'll need to go back to the PureProtein bars. Not as tasty, but I didn't get an upset stomach with those.

Low Carb Low Cal Stuffed peppers

Ingredients

4-Large green peppers or red peppers, seeded, cored and sliced in half lengthwise
2 Tbsp- Olive oil
½ cup- Mushrooms, chopped
½ cup- Celery, chopped
1-Garlic clove, chopped
1-1¼ lb- Lean ground turkey (I use 93% lean)
1-Egg, beaten
¼ tsp- Garlic powder
1tsp- Italian seasoning, salt and pepper to taste
1-(14 ½ ounce) can Italian-style diced tomatoes, undrained
1-(8 oz) can tomato sauce (look at the carbs & sugar)-> NO SUGAR
Feta cheese as a topping but only 1oz per serving on phase 1&2 remember the feta cheese is your 1oz of daily allowance of dairy!

Preparation
On stovetop in a medium skillet or saucepan, sautee mushrooms, onion, celery and garlic in olive oil until veggies are soft; remove from heat.

Meanwhile, in a medium-mixing bowl, combine ground turkey, egg, garlic powder, Italian seasoning, salt and pepper

Add sautee veggies mixture to turkey mixture; mix well

Stuff peppers with turkey/veggie mix and place in an ungreased shallow casserole dish

In a small bowl combine undrained tomatoes and tomato sauce; pour over peppers to cover

Sprinkle with feta cheese and Italian seasonings; cover with aluminum foil and bake for 50 minutes.

Uncover, sprinkle with feta and bake for an additional 10 minutes or until cheese is bubbly and browned

Just remember this treat is a twice a week meal!

Good week-end everyone,

Can't believe my week off is finished :( Really enjoyed it..took the kids out for breakfast yesterday..their stuff looked so good but i sat there with my mint herbal tea and wasn't bothered one bit :)

WI this morning, -1...i have to admit i'm pretty bumbed out. I know a loss is a loss but i'm pretty disappointed. But it is what it is and i'll take it!

Have a great week-end everyone!

Quick question, just saw the box for the mashed potatoes, are they considered restricted? Cause they have only 7g carbs and i know that the mango drink has 9g. Also, for anyone who tried them, the picture on the box shows them with parsley, do they actually have some type of seasoning in them?
