It's True! IP Prices are increasing....

The rumors I have been hearing finally became a reality to me. The prices are going up $1/packet starting 3/12/2012 at my clinic. Wow! I thought it was already expensive.

I did buy some packets through nashuanutrition.com and was very pleased ($1.76/packet or ~$11.00 / box). The caramel nut bars are exactly the same. Same packaging and everything. Looks like I am going to start supplementing to help keep the costs down.

I love the caramel nut bars from nashuanutrition!!! I have also been using a lot of alternatives and the cost stays manageable! Good luck!

Do you have any other favorites that you would recommend from nashuanutrition? Always looking for alternatives :)

20% is CRAZY!

What alternatives from Nashua are you using? Proti-Thin or ProtiDiet?

I'm loving the proti-thin and protidiet stuff. The cocunut almond are not bad for bars. Honestly I did not think the chili was too bad either. It's great with a salad for lunch!

I can say the soy snack puff things are terrible to me! I seriousley can not even swallow them!

I also use EAS shakes, they seem to be doing the trick my Dr. said they are the same as IP, some peopel may argue that but I feel good and I'm loosing pretty consitantly and they are only $1.25 each!!! I love they are pre made too!

I used proti thin but think I might try some protidiet this order??? Any thoughts on the difference between them? they seem to be about the same.

So they will be up $7 per box then? Because I think that is ludacris. My packets are $3.90 per packet now I believe and $27 per box. A dollar per box I could handle, but per packet I don't know! Thus far my clinic hasn't mentioned a price hike to me...

Patty17 03-07-2012 05:17 PM

I received an email from my coach on 3/1 informing me there was going to be a $1 price increase. But it was for the whole box, not the individual packets. Maybe that is the case with you. $1 per packet would be ridiculous, hopefully that is not the case, for your sake. OR Nashua here I come!

le506 03-07-2012 05:42 PM

it is obviously clinic to clinic increases because my coach said corporate prices went up last week, but only up 90cents a box and thats what our prices have increased... per box not per serving or pack!

My clinic told me that although there is an increase in the price they have to pay to IP, it's each individual clinics' choice to pass the increase on to their clients or not. Thankfully, my clinic has chosen not to.

I already pay $29.00 per box....hopefully they won't go any higher.

I hope you are right and I just read the sign wrong:) it was early this morning and I am a scatterbrain.

Momto2cs 03-07-2012 10:24 PM

I pay $28 a box now. I will check it out on Friday when I go in.
But really, I know people who have paid $20 k for gastric band and not have the success of people on ip. Your health and future health are worth the cost.

mtnsun4 03-07-2012 10:25 PM

Yep- I received an email this week from my coach as well. Packets went up $0.50 each, and boxes were more than that. I placed my order with nashua nutrition the other night.

Anyone doing STRICTLY alternatives? I remember reading there were a few.

Actually there are lots of people doing alternatives. I switched after 6 weeks and continued on with no bumps in the road. Check the alternative sticky under the daily thread and just match up the IP nutritional counts to the alternative products. Lots of the Nashua products are very close to IP products.

I just got this from Ideal To Go:

Quote:

We have some news to pass along that is never pleasant, but we must do so at this time.

Since Ideal To Go has been in business we've managed to insulate our dieters from any price increases. We have never passed any increases along to you. However, recent increases from Ideal Protein force us to adjust our pricing.

The good news is that we're rewarding all of our dieters for their loyalty by holding the old pricing structure for the remainder of March. Even though we incurred the cost increases last month we're going to honor our existing prices to you until the end of March.

This is a limited time offer. The new pricing will go into effect on April 1st so take advantage of this offer during the remainder of March.

Here are the changes that will take effect on April 1st:

Old Price: New Price

Food Boxes $27.00 $28.00

Pre-Made Shakes $27.00 $30.00

Peach Mango Pre-Made $34.00 $35.00

Please keep in mind that Ideal To Go does not charge any Sign Up or Registration Fees, nor do we charge any Coaching, Consultation, or Visit Fees.

Agreed. I started adding some alternatives, so it shouldn't impact me.

SaraBean 03-08-2012 09:58 PM

Sounds like the price increases arent as bad as I thought :) and yes being healthy is totally worth the cost!!! Supplementing nashuanutrition products a few times a week will help. I am currently on the search for my first home so my budget is super tight...every dollar counts.
