You can buy tisanes in your grocery store. Look on the labels and you'll find some that don't contain caffeine, those should be tisanes. I like Celestial Seasonings Lemon Zinger and Red Zinger on ice in the summer time. Another favorite is Rooibos tea from Africa and I found this website.

[QUOTE=sekc14;4251290]My coach said today that she just got back from an IP seminar and that they're no longer recommending more protein for before/after workout. Now they're recommending drinking water that includes electrolytes. They're now saying that exercise depletes minerals and electrolytes and the body sends hunger signals in hopes of getting them replenished.

However, later in the same conversation she said that if you're exercising and hungry, eat the extra protein pack. Also, if someone is exercising and their weight loss stalls for several weeks, she will phase them off IP. She says it's not good for your body to work-out to the point where you're not losing weight while in ketosis.[/

I think exercise and ketosis are great, but you do need the salt.

I hear you about losing 30 pounds and then gaining some of it back. I lost 30 pounds and was at goal and gained 15 pounds back. When I lost the weight I promised myself that I would never gain the weight back. Here I am again trying to lose 15 pounds, good luck

Yeah, i should have phased off properly :( anyway, already down 3 pounds in 3 days. I am modeling in a charity fashion show in May, so trying to get down before then. The woman who asked me to model has not seen me since the gain :/ Dont want any awkward surprises lol.

First weigh in with my coach was good 7 lbs down and weighed in a day early. Pretty good I thought.......now sticking to it for the amount of time I need to in order to lose what i need to to get to my goal. Question I have tho, I find it hard to get in all the protein and veggies I am allowed at supper time, so wondered if anyone has tried splitting their supper up. I find I am hungry in the morning because I was always good at making sure I ate every 3 hrs, so now I am missing those morning and afternoon snacks. My coach said I can move my evening protein to morning, because I found I was not hungry at all in the evening....so I have done that....but still find I am still hungry...tolerable tho..... and hungry in the afternoon. She said I could eat whatever veggies I didn't finish at dinner I could have later, but wondered if same goes for the meat portion of that too. I am praying that this is it for me, I have always had a hard time sticking to any diet long term, but I do feel absolutely great, energy is great, sleeping well and no cravings what so ever........worried for a time when I slip up and have a hard time getting back on IP tho. Anyway if anyone has any input on this subject, I would greatly appreciate any feed back.

My doctor will let me split things up.....stating most important is that I get ALL of my food in during the day. I usually drink an IP drink at 6:00 am mixed in my coffee and continue eating throughout the day my veggies, salad, IP etc. I usually eat my lunch IP mid-morning:( I am definitely hungrier too earlier in the day and not so much after dinner. Even before I was on the diet, I never snacked at night. Some days I feel kind of faint and have an extra restricted (have not had additional protein available at the time) but know that is not part of the recommended program. It beats eating a pizza or eating something not at all on the program. My doctor has mentioned to me that my body will be pretty forgiving during my first 20 lbs and then closer I get to goal it will get a little harder if I am not following exactly. I am hoping that by then, my hunger will decrease. So many comments on the boards state that people are not hungry.....I wish I could say the same. A of extra veggies for me don't cut it. If your doctor is stating you could have you pm protein at breakfast..you could have 1/2 in the am and 1/2 at lunch. I know some of the women eat part and lunch and part at dinner. I am really trying to listen to MY body and what it needs. This is my personal experience only and am only on week #4 not not the expert by any means. You are off to a GREAT start - keep up the great work:carrot::carrot::carrot:

Thanks for the info, looks like what you are doing is working well, good for you for listening to your body. I do get really hungry late morning and late afternoon, so think I will play around a bit with my meals to help me out. I absolutely love the cappuccino shake, so that is my morning fix for sure. I have a birthday brunch today at a restaurant, something I have avoided.......yikes it is a test for sure, always hard for me to be good in a restaurant environment but today I WILL be;) Have a great day and keep up the good work!
