Good morning everyone!! Had a few days away from the forum due to illness striking our home, and I must say, I missed everyone!! Tomorrow marks weigh in number 2, and I must say, I've never been so committed!! I went to a concert Saturday night, while my friend enjoyed his adult beverages, burger, and deep fried potatoes, I enjoyed water!! I wasn't even tempted to have anything off protocol!! I had an amazing evening, and Eric Church seriously is an awesome performer, for my country fans!! The last few days have been tricky; trying to get my little one to eat anything has put many things in my hands that I love!! Crackers, bread, ice cream, pasta, etc, but I知 remained faithful to myself and this new lifestyle. I知 anxious to weigh in tomorrow and see how my commitment has treated my body!!
I hope everyone has a fantastic day!!

Good morning! Today is going to be a stormy day here in WV. I have a very busy day at work with the state dept. coming in to do an audit. I think that I have everything as ready as I can get it. What ever they find, I will just work on correcting it. Yesterday, I went off program a little bit for dinner. I had chicken with peppers and onions and a small salad. However, there was cheese on the salad and refried beans with the chicken. I hope to stay OP today. Have a great hump day!

Hope everyone on your household is feeling better!! Congratulations on staying OP while dialing out your kids favorites... I have the same temptations! We all pretty much est the same- my kids are fortunately veggie lovers and are good meat ester but I make them a carb for supper. So I'm still making rice and pasta and quesidila. The killer for me is fruit- I am glad my kids eat loads of it but man those strawberries and blueberries smell good! Part of this journey for me and hubby is explaining to out kids our sudden change in diet. I have always been very careful not to obsess about ( or even mention) weight or diets etc in front of my kids. We did explain that we are trying to lose weight anf DDT to be healthier. The special shakes are vitamins and nutrients to help is stay healty and the 4 cups of veggies a day- that's a great thing for my Kids to see.

NSV- book club with 8 friends at my house last night- served wine, veggies & chips and homemade salsa and nanimo bar. Really wanted to even eat the crumbs after slicing it up.,.. But I didn't!!

On a side note- I know they mentioned bad Breath but I feel like something is rotting in mine!! If i hadnt been fore warned I'd think something is seriously wrong- my Breath is atrocious!!! Anyone else?

Good morning! Leap Day here! Spring is just around the corner. I got up by 5:30 am. This leaves me a good amount of time to lay and run a track for my Hogan dog. I should be able to get Filly 's roadworking in beside my bike also. All before Soleil and I go to Pawsitive reading program at the school at noon.

A few weeks ago, I would have been hard pressed to have the energy for all this. That has been the miracle with IP for me.

My weight loss seems stalled at this point. I don't know what to do but press onward.

Bad breath with ketosis. Oh, yes, I have that. Oral hygiene doesn't fix it but I am compelled to brush and mouthwash often anyway.

I also have the bad breath. I use tic tacs since they are allowed. I especially try to make a concious effort to use one when I know I'm going to be talking with other people.

WI#7= 6 lbs and 8.25 inches
I have been working out for 3 weeks. First week of workout I lost 9.5 inches, week 2 I only worked out 2 days and lost 3.5 inches and this week (3) lost 8.25 inches! So I willl be working out as much as possible!!!!
Bad breath really bothers me too! I get the mints/gum from my coach and they are very temporary relief.
I started getting emails from idealcoaching.com and I learned we should only have 25 carbs/day.....(I had not heard that yet) this includes our carbs from our veggies and IP restricted/unrestricted! I like the little videos attached to the email!

If you only get 25 carbs a day, that would mean no restricted items because of the high carbs of 16 per bar. I tried doing that and was starving myself! I do know that I have a friend that is diabetic and she was told to limit her carbs to around 25 per day in order to lose weight. I started putting my food intake on myfitnesspal.com and was surprised at the amount of carbs in foods that you wouldn't think they would have much. All coaches are different but you would think they would have the same training.

Great work -- those numbers are awesome!! Can I ask what it is you're doing and if you're taking an extra protein before or after you work out? Before I started IP I'd been getting myself back onto the treadmill on a regular basis but my coach doesn't want me doing anything more than an easy walk...

We are snowed in today! I work at the Administrative Office for a Technical college and they actually closed our office for the first time in 30 years. We received about 12 inches of heavy wet snow overnight! My cousin dropped her kids off this morning and her two kids and my one do not have school today and are chomping at the bit to get outside and enjoy it. It is supposed to continue snowing all day! I love this day! I can get all my veggies cut up and do some planning. This past week has been so crazy, I have just been doing everything last minute. Hope everyone has a great OP day

I walk 30 minutes and 2 days a week I am doing core strengthing with a ball and some light weights! My coaches have said to not over do it. I wallk 2.2 to 2.4 mph and do NOT sweat! If I have not had a meal within 3 to 4 hours prior to work out I have a boiled egg or half a RTD and then half after! I think the best part is I was loosing upper body inches and my hips finally kicked in!

Do you now get the emails? Their new....I know a carmel nut bar is like 16, so they explain that you have to adjust with your veggies and other OP items and they explain that some ppl do okay with higher carb limits but average is 25.
Someone try this link and see if you can view the video on this!
