So far I've only dined at local, non-chain restaurants. That may change this weekend because my boyfriend and I are going to stay at a theme room in the Fantasy Land Hotel at West Edmonton Mall

I'm sure I'll be eating at some sort of chain this weekend. Anyways, the one night I had filet mingon (no sherry sauce) with double the vegetables (it ended up coming with carrots, so I of course left those). The next place I ordered their buffalo chicken caesar salad. I had the chicken grilled, no croutons, no garlic toast and I brought my own caesar dressing. And now come to think of it I did eat at Original Joe's (not sure you have those out East?) and there I had the steak sandwich, minus the sandwich part. I had mushrooms on top and then a double order of caesar salad, no croutons no toast. That night I ordered my dressing on the side and dipped my fork in it as I ate. I used very little dressing and it still tasted good. The dressing may not have been 100% OP, but I did not have my dressing and for the negligible amount I ate, I was not about to lose sleep over it. And I didn't want to send the poor girl to the back asking for ingredients after I already put in an order with tweaks to every item LOL. It's okay to request the things you need changed, but I feel you shouldn't have to worry to the point of the meal not being as great as it should be due to restrictions. You can still have a life and be on IP

As momto2cs has said, don't worry too much about the fat content and stay away from the carbs. If you go out to eat, you'll do just fine! Order grilled chicken or steak and veggies and salad and you'll be good to go! Oooh, one more tip I have... Don't go there too hungry. The one night I went out starving and watching everyone else eat deep fried pickles and potato skins was super hard. Once I got my salad I was fine. Something to think about!
