Ah yes, that explains a lot about the hunger LOL. Seriously though, it gets LOADS better! Some days you will be hungrier than others just for no reason, but most of the time it's wooooooow better! I took me about a week or so to get into ketosis [at least to where I noticed a difference] and about 1.5-2 weeks to actually FEEL better more energy etc. But I'm a weird one LOL. 6 weeks in and I feel amazing. It gets better! Hang in there!

Honestly, I would not buy the ketosix, save your money. If you are following the sheet you will get there. Your body is still detoxing. I have my restricted for breakfast, I know Dana said she has hers for lunch, You will find what works for you. Hang in there, you will get the knack of it soon enough.

Greetings everyone. I've been lurking here for a while and decided to join the festivities. I found out about Ideal Protein while researching medical weight loss clinics in my hometown. I just started last week and had a 9 lb loss at my first weigh-in. This forum is a great motivator!

My first week my coach put together my foods for me. One was a Potato puree packet but I cannot find cooking instructions anywhere. Does anyone know how these are supposed to be prepared?

2 oz of water if you want the puree or 3 oz if you want the soup ......When i did it i started off with the 2 oz then added a little more....HOT tap water works fine....Congrats on your first WI and WELCOME!

Had one of those strange dreams this morning. I was at some kind of buffet / banquet and had a plate loaded with fresh strawberries, a biscuit with a touch of gravy, and some cheese. Actually (aside from the gravy of which there was only about a tablespoon, and the biscuit that I don't think was whole wheat) it wasn't a horrid breakfast. That's the first dream I've had where I wasn't completely gouging myself on some horrid food. Maybe that means some of my inner dialogues have changed? I hope so because I can tell you this right now, I am never going back to the way I was!!

Hope everyone has a great day today!! I have my RTD Mango all ready to go, and I'm planning on a semi early lunch (bar + sliced peppers) while I'm folding laundry and watching The Biggest Loser. I'm a dork!

Also, I'm hoping to make it to Target today to get a replacement water bottle. Mine bit the dust yesterday when it fell out of my purse and cracked and I can't see being able to keep up with my water consumption without it Any suggestions on your favorite? I just tried a Bobble recently and didn't like it (took forever to get the water out!) this was a Contigo which I liked because it sealed but still opened completely to let the water out; however, I won't be making it across town to get another one today.
I have those food dreams once in awhile too, and it's funny how crappy you feel when you wake up, even though it was just a dream. Funny how your mind is still thinking of food. I find this diet to be pretty all consuming, meaning I think about food a lot. I think you have to because you need to have everything planned out so you can stay OP.

My favorite water bottles are the Contigo ones as well. I have 4 of them one at work, one for the gym, one for water at home, and one for flavored water at home). I could use one for my car too. They are the best bottles I've come across.

Have a great day NavyMommy

Congratulations on the move to onederland! What a great feeling, what a milestone! If I had some confetti, I'd shower you with it! Think where you will be by summer!

For me, I will need to get my attitude in the right place . I am going with the will power I currently have but I am feeling so guilty about the money I'm spending on this.
I am at a crossroad and need to decide if going with alternatives isn't gonna throw me off completely. Decisions, decisions
I find I am actually SAVING money or spending a similar amount by being on this. I was eating out 2 or sometime 3 times a day. That was costing me anywhere from $10 to $30 a day depending on what/where I ate. I think for anyone eating out and buying snack type foods, this isn't a big jump in expense. It feels like a lot of money when I go get food every week though, spending every day it didn't feel like such an expense

This is really neat. We are the same height and close to the same weight. The really interesting part is that although we are from Canada my eldest daughter is staying just outside San Diego right now. She is an equestrian showjumper and is training with her Coach who lives there. I am planning to make a trip down there in the spring to visit her.

I've been putting veggies into the broccoli cheese soup which I think is really good. It makes it so easy to get the vegetables in plus fills me. Re shakes, I haven't added spinach to any so interested to hear what others say. my problem with shakes and pudding is that I get hungry so fast after eating those.
I bet some of the senior folks will have some great ideas on the veggies.

My Coach had me eating a restricted from day one. Said it was part of the protocol. I look forward to it, it makes the program seem easier .

I made a shake the other day using Vanilla drink and spinach. You couldn't really taste the spinach. I also added ice cubes and it came out a nice consistency. I will definitely try it with chocolate and the puddings as well. Sometimes I don't feel like eating my vegetables, so I found this a great way to sneak them all in.

I use both. The grapeseed oil is a mild/no flavor and I love it. I practically cook all my veggies with it.

I eat a lot of the soups and add a lot of veggies to them (3 stalks sliced celery, or 1-1/2 c broccoli or green beans). That's really filling. Plus the Mio flavored water is really filling (buy Mio at your grocery store in the crystal light/koolaid section). Also black coffee with flavored stevia (google online) helps kill my appetite.

Where are they online for 1/3 the cost? I'm doing this w/o a coach but buying food from the local clinic. If they are truly comparable, I'd love to give them a try. I did read through the alternatives section of 3FC and saw some that were maybe half the cost but had more casrbs.

Thanks!
