It seems the difference is in having a coach. IMHO, this forum brings support and accountability.

I have switched back to IP for some products because there is no alternate for some of my favorite products (Raspberry Jelly mainly), but I also incorporate the alternative restricteds into my lunches. Mind you I don't know how this will work with a coach because I'm ordering from Ideal to Go so I don't have to explain ordering only 3 weeks of products instead of 4.

However; I did very well on only alternatives when I did my restart in January. I lost 10.2lbs the first week and continued very well until I got my IP things and started them 2/6. I was really curious if I would see a greater drop in weight when I went to the strict IP but there has been no difference.

HTH!!

Can anyone order from Ideal To Go? My reason for being interested in alternatives is that my coach is sometimes out of the the things that I like, so I'm forced to eat products that I don't care for. If I could order actual Ideal Products, that would be... well..... Ideal! ;)

Someone else on the board posted about being able to order IP products from http://buyproteinfood.com/index.php?. I checked and it's definitely IP products, and it's an online source. I have no idea how shipping costs, etc. are.

You're welcome. Glad it will work for you. Can't do better than free shipping. :carrot::carrot: I miss the IP cappucino and have been thinking I might succumb and order just that product. I found another cappuchino protein product at one of my fav alternate food sources, and it should arrive tomorrow. I'll see how it compares. I didn't even drink cappucino much until I had it through IP... and now I miss it!

Not only was the order a LOT cheaper, but tax was only added to the bars and shipping was free as the order was over $100. Thank you to everyone on this site who gave me the knowledge to make this switch, I am so happy that I can continue onward and downward...

I am thinking of switchng to alternatives, please let me know what you ordered and if you are happy with the products.

Good Morning I love this thread!!!

Ok here is what is going on in my IP life but after reading the last 4 pages will probably change. I us IP products for things I couldn't find anywhere else (before this thread ;)) like cheddar ridges, orange drink and cappuccino.

I buy a huge bag of whey protein drink at costco the numbers are better then IP lower cal, fat, carbs higher protein. I buy RTD from Pure Protein at GNC I got a card it has a small fee but has beyond paid for itself I get 20% of first week of the month even clearance items I also use Pure Protein bars but they are a pinch higher in cal/fat/carb then IP so I am happy to look for an alternative.

I want to know what people do about the supplements from IP they are also very expensive but my coach makes me feel like if i don't take them my hair will fall out and I won't lose weight :drill: I get so much more support and answers from this board then I do my coach I spend $8 a week in gas and 90 minutes for a quick 10 what do you want to order they don't even take measurements just jump on a scale and tell us what you want to buy. I hear that a lot on these boards together we can help each other live the IP lifestyle without unanswered questions or going broke trying.

I have filled out the Idealtogo form several times requesting a user name and password and no response. How did you access them?

It's a shame that there is apparently no accountability for the coaches. I get weighed and measured at every weekly meeting, and no one monitors what I'm buying or how much. My food journal was being checked every week when I was with one coach, but I have a new one now and she doesn't look at it. I think that I if were unhappy with my weight loss then she would look at it, but as long as I keep losing at a good rate, there really isn't any need. The IP home office should do something to ensure that the customers are getting good service or else everyone will switch to alternatives.
