You are only suppose to have 3 IP packets per day total, and one of those can be a restricted IP food. I have a bar every morning for breakfast and then and IP packet for lunch and a snack right before bedtime.
Hi all, I made the decision before I started IP to be 100% till the end. I am really happy to have found this thread.
Congrats to everyone in the 100 lb club. The tat is cool.
Have been able to drop my blood sugar from 414 to 127 in just the first 12 days on IP. I'm very excited.
Question: does everyone eat 3 unrestricted and 1 restricted every day?
I have 4 packets a day. That is the way my coach started me. Some may have less, some may have 5. It all depends on how active you are and apparently your coach.
Thought I would post here today as well as the daily thread. Down 3 pounds this week for a total of 63 pounds. On my scale this coming week I should hit onederland, but not sure if I will make it on my coach's scale or not. Either way I'm one happy woman.
Tried the new mashed potatoes today for lunch. Way too good! Just wish there was more of it.

Happy Valentine's Day!

It also depends upon how much you weigh in the first place. My coach told me people over 250 can start with 4 packets. And of course people who are exercising pretty heavily.

I started at way above 250 and my coach never once mentioned having 4+ packs a day but i know someone who was told to have 4+ to start, not because of her weight but just for the first 2 weeks.
Yeah Dana!!! Great job!!! Same here w/ the number of packets. We could have 4 the 1st couple of weeks if we needed it but only 3 a week after. That being said. I always have 1 restricted a day.

I started at 388lbs NEVER have had more than 3 packets a day!
...I was told AFTER I got past the 250 I should have had 4 packets (at the beginning) due to my size, but that it wasn't a big deal that I didn't. I don't think I would have due to the cost anyway.
It only came up with my coach because when I started the person with the appointment ahead of me was a man more than a foot taller and way more than 100 pounds than me.
I questioned how I could lose at 5'1" and 160 pounds on the same amount of food as he was getting. She said he had the option of 4 packets a day if he wanted to. She said people over 250 could take that option.
As it didn't actually apply to me we didn't discuss it further.
That's interesting. When I got my initial IP paperwork it said you can have up to 5 a day if you really need them for hunger. My coach said the same thing, the point of this diet is not to be miserable. I was only 205 when I started. I never used more than 3 packets but I know that if I needed to I could.
Busymom - I love your tattoo! I may have to start thinking about getting one when I get to a certain point (100 lbs or goal). I've always wanted one, bit never could decide one the where and what. I'm totally inspired now!
Hoping to break the 230 mark next week. Won't have an official WI this week because of work... So busy these days. So I am hoping for a big one next Thursday. Wish me luck!
Stay strong and 100%, everyone. Love this excellent uplifting thread!!!
