Does age affect weightloss?

This is my first post on 3fatchicks! I just started IP yesterday and this forum is really great for staying focused and accomplishing my weight loss goals! I am 21 and I wanted to know if age affects the rate of weight loss? Will I lose faster or slower than people who are 30, 40, or 50? Just something I've been wondering!

Usually when you are younger the weight come off faster but you also have to consider how much weight you want to lose. If you don't have a huge amount to lose then it will come off faster. Jelly is 23 and she average 4-5lbs a week and is over 100lbs now, I am 45 and average 3.2lbs a week. It just all depends on your body
