First, I started student teaching Monday. The first day was a bit emotionally tiring because it hit me that I will no longer be working at the job that I have worked at for the last 7 years and have many friends at and the teacher that I am working with was a bit emotional herself as she had to say goodbye to her oldest son who was leaving to join the marines that day. The rest of the week so far has been good.

Second, I am down a few more pounds, YEA!
I am staying so busy in the school that there is no time to even think about snacking and I am bringing my own lunches and so am leaving myself with little chance of going off track.

3rd, I just learned that I passed all 4 of my licensure tests that I needed to become a special ed teacher. All I have to do now is finish student teaching!

So excited!

Good for you! I hate to admit it but I have been in eduction for close to 40 years ( they let us start as toddlers :D). I still remember the toughest part in all those years was the student teaching part. If you are enjoying that you will love teaching as a career.
I too find it much easier to stay on program when school is in session. You are so busy the time just flies.

Pat

Congrats on all that you've accomplished! I remember how hard it was to maintain a diet/exercise plan as a college student. It was worse when I finished up grad school and prepared for licensing exams in my 40's. So good, good, good for you. I was a social worker and substitute teacher for many years. Teachers and social service offices love to have treat days. If I had it to do over again I would be ready to show up with my specialty - veggie and WF dressing. I see you are handling it well. I know how hard you've worked. I admire you.

Morning! I had a question about the supplements. I've been OP for almost 4 months and never had a problem with taking them and now it seems like every time I do i get the strangest stomach nausea? any clue as to why? Thanks

taking them the same as before or did you switch something around?

frazzledmom04 01-12-2012 01:19 PM

Same as before. I'm wondering if maybe I need more food in the morning with them or something. I'm not sure. Very strange.

I would make sure you are eating enough, may not have enough in your stomach and its upsetting your stomach

That's awesome!! Congrats!! I used to teach children with autism before I had my babies, and I loved it. What area are you going into?? I've got this strange idea I want to become a behavior specialist when / if I go back into the work force, but that's a long ways away.

I always have to take mine with food. I take my first 2 with lunch and then follow the schedule, but my breakfast shake is not enough food for my stomach.

Thanks Lisa. I'll try switching my omelette to the morning and pancake at lunch instead and hopefully that'll do the trick:)

Hi there :D
So I posted this question in the daily thread for today but last I checked no one had an answer so I am hoping you "helpful" people will have an answer for me!
So I want to make the banana bread receipe and its pretty clear except it says to use an IP Banana pudding pack.. but doesnt mention if I acutally just use the powder pack or if I make it into actual pudding first.

Any helpful hints I really want to try this... they sound pretty tasty and I hate the banana pudding by itself and have to get rid of the few packs I have. LOL

Thanks!
Brandie
