Is there such a thing...
Ok here is my thought for the day, is there such a thing as too much splenda? I love to make my shakes sweet and add lots of ice so they are almost like ice cream. I don't see any harm in that but others have told me too much splenda adds carbs..how? I hope that is not the case. I love my pina colada ice shake at night..YUMMY...

I don't know about Ideal Protein, but i do know that the carbs in Splenda come from the "bulking agents" dextrose and/or maltodextrin, which are carbs containg approximately 4 calories per gram. Virtually all the weight and calories and carbs are coming from the bulking agents.
Liquid Splenda (which is harder to find - except online) doesn't have those bulking agents, so if you're going to be using a lot of Splenda, it might be worth considering the liquid
Assuming that it's ok with your plan - you may want to ask your coach or others on plan, what the Splenda limits are if any.

Once a day? Shouldn't be a problem, but if you make every shake that way you might have a problem. I add about 1oz of Torani syrup maybe once a day or every other day. Try to follow the plan as close as you can.

I was told by my coach that I could use one packet of Splenda a day. Just one.

I buy liquid sucralose online (CrazySweet) and I use it in some recipes calling for large amounts of Splenda. It measures 1 drop = 2 teaspoons, 24 drops = 1 cup. Works very well in baking, where a large amount of granular splenda would add a significant amount of carbs. The water content of the drops is negligible, but if you were concerned you could reduce the amount of other fluid ingredients by a teaspoon and it would still be OK. I also use it to make my own sugar-free dried cranberries.

Personally I really wouldn't worry about it until/unless it starts affecting your losses. Everybody's tolerance for those kinds of things is different. There were some days when I first started where I'm sure I had more than would be 'recommended' but there were other days I hardly had any. Just wait and see, but if you're not happy with your losses that's the first place I would cut.

Every small pack of Splenda has 1g of carb. So, yes... It adds up if you use it all day long.
