Healthwise Nutrition Resources Products
 

Does anyone have any experience or knowledge regarding the Healthwise Nutrition Resources Products? My center is now offering these products at $2.50 per product in addition to some of the IP products, which they sell for $4.00. (They sell by the packet, with the ability to return/exchange packets at any time). My coach said they were doing this to help make the program more affordable. I have used strictly IP products up to this point.

I tried the "Chocolate Drink" and microwaved it for one minute like I would the IP one to make hot chocolate. It has left a nasty aftertaste and given me a headache. I also have a really dry mouth, and have already downed 32 oz of water in the two hours since I drank it.

The best I can guess from the Healthwise website is that this is the ingredient list: Calcium Casseinate, Hydrolized Gelatin, Cocoa, Quic Milk, Natural and Artificial Flavor, Salt, Titanium Dioxide, Potassium Citrate, Sucralose, Acesulfame K.

I'll definitely be taking the other 6 chocolate drinks back.

Is anyone currently using or has recently tried these products?

Does anyone have any idea on what ingredients might have caused the headache and dry mouth?
