(Were there any real challenges that you found? I will possibly just be coming off phase 1 and have NO intention of getting sabotaged! so looking for an tricks or suggestions you might have. )

Hi Debbie- What worked for me is staying out of the areas that didn't have foods I could eat . When you get on board your ship you can pretty much scope these out- or even before you board by looking at the dining areas on board and seeing what type of fare they offer. You can always get a salad without dressing, cheese and crotons and most dining rooms for lunch now offer make your own salads- which I took advantage of during lunch. I let my waiter know right off the bat that I had food restrictions. I didn't want to say the word diet to him because I know they don't always take that seriously and try to serve you sugar free things instead. So make sure they know you can't eat certain things like potatoes, dressing, sauces, butter and sugar free stuff. It may take them a day or two to understand completely but they will get it. There was one night where I did leave the table because of a certain dessert that was being served and my family understood. If your ship offers a water plan the first day with bottled water make sure you get that since it's normally cheaper the first day. I carried a bottle of water with me whereever I went. If I was feeling deprived of going into certain areas I went and had a cup of herbal tea and sipped that instead of indulging in the stuff they were serving. There is also so much to do on most ships that if you take the focus off the food and put the focus on exploring things to do- you will find it easier. If I can do it- YOU CAN DO IT!:D
