By the way, saw my SIS (Yvetteski) and she looks AMAZING!! This weekend is jam-packed again and I have sure missed reading the site.

Unfortunately this diet won't take HUNGER away (these feelings will fluctuate during your journey too). Remember it's probably not that you need it, it's that you want it (at least that's how I am during TOM).

I still get my cravings during TOM (or just in general hunger). It's all about distraction and water. If I want salt I'll buy some Kale and make Kale Chips, if I want sugar I'll make a big deal out of selecting what IP bar I will get for my evening snack. And then reassure myself "it's ok, just drink your water you can have XXXX when you get home" Insert whatever you need in the XXXX spot. Also, sometimes if it's sweet I crave I'll just make some nice herbal tea so that I'm getting what I 'want' and extra water. Stay focused, this too shall pass.

GOOD LUCK!

This was a big problem for me this past month. I think the combination of Thanksgiving (TOM was following week) AND normal cravings at that time really caused me to struggle. I did give in and cheat a couple of times and it was so NOT WORTH IT!! I will not let that happen again!! I'm going to get some tea this afternoon when I go to the grocery store and I will not let it get me again!! I never had a problem drinking my water, but now I guzzle it even more when I'm feeling/thinking hungry...and I snack on pickles! Good luck!

Today is my second day and it hasn't done much...but I've heard other's praise it. She also said I'm not producing that much waste...I eat a lot of eggs and fish and she said my body is absorbing a lot of it...After you've finished your 4th week you'll also have the chance to go on a cleansing system..it takes about 43 days and cost about $60...it will flush your colon, liver and ??? (one other major organ)... pancreas maybe. Well, if the Novi-Lax doesn't work I'll give that a try...
I'm sure that "not producing that much waste" is part of my problem, too. I wasn't that concerned about it, but by day 3 I'm feeling so bloated I'm miserable!! I'm going to ask about the cleansing system at my next visit. I forgot about that! Thanks!

Great tips, Ishbel!! I do look forward to my bars in the afternoons, too!! Thanks!

Senekot worked for me for about 2 days... i've been battling this since i started IP and have tried a whole variety of things. I take 2-4 floralax a day and 4 probiotics (floralax does nothing without the probiotics). TMI, i go almost every morning but not that much.

Have a great OP day!
I have hot tea every day, drink at least 120oz of water and I take 2 magnesium tablets with breakfast. Make sure your eating lots of lettuce. TMI... things move better for me since I switched.

Just curious...for those of you who use probiotics, which do you use?

My counselor sent out an ingredients summary list from March of this year. The protein from the products is derived from soy, whey, whole milk, albumin, or collagen. You can't tell if the albumin is from bovine or other protein or is from eggs. However, the majority of the products are derived from soy or whey. Note that ingredients can change and this list is dated.

I attached it as a pdf (hopefully). Hope this helps.

It's actually real hunger though, not just eating because it's time, which is nice.

Today I'm holiday shopping with my 18 yr old son so I'll pack my lunch and bring water. So far so good!

PS To Wuv.....I liked that post about your date. Congrats! You seem like such a caring person, (and you look amazing) I'm sure more dates are in your future!

xx Pam
Thanks, I did do a lot of smiling but I already smile a lot. He did make me laugh though. I woke up this morning really tired for some reason so its coffee for me today. My body is aching so I am hoping I am not getting sick because that will suck big time. Looks like everyone is doing lots of shopping and that sounds like a lot of fun. My youngest is coming home for the month from college today so it will be a wild ride with him home. He loves his food.....lol....and of course mom will make it...lol...have a great weekend everyone

Glad you're feeling better.

As for the 'C" problem - I always deal with this issue when I low carb so I take a natural supplement every night before I go to bed and it works great. I was using Novi-lax, but I was up to 3 pils per night. What I take now only requires 1 pill per night. I also read in the Dr.'s book that we don't produce a lot of waste with this diet.

BooHoo - I had my WI this morning and was only down .5!
I'm a bit disappointed but then came home and had my bm (sorry for TMI). Hopefully that was it. At least inches came off!

I get nervous because this is the typical part of a "diet" where I stop seeing results and then lose momentum and quit. The next 2-3 weeks are going to be the hardest of the year. I have dinner plans next Thurs., Fri., Sat AND Sun. While I looove seeing friends and family, it is hard to eat clean at a restaurant EVEN IF the restaurant tries.

I realized last week after I went to a dinner party that I should have had my last IP BEFORE I went. I did eat OP but dinner was very late and I could only have a couple of the items.

When I eat out, I typically try to keep it simple, a grilled or broiled meat or fish, salad, and a veggie like asparagus or broccoli. Oh, and while everyone is drinking alcohol, I usually order a sparkling water to be festive and drink tons of it.

Any other suggestions for going out?

LOL (which of course isn't allowed on this). I hope a true vegetarian replies to you...but I heard this diet is really difficult for vegetarians, as most of the IP foods have protein from animals or animal by products...
Thank you so much

Had another WI this morning...down 11.2 for a total of 28 lbs to date. My WIs are every two weeks or so. I'm 2 lbs away from my next mini-goal but boy is my body shaped differently than what it was last time around....age maybe, amount of muscle definitely. Also, two weeks ago I cleaned my closet and stacked my too tight jeans in order of "next possible". Well, I surpassed one pair completely and am into #2 and 3 jeans. My favorite jeans are 4 more down in the stack . Not that I'm complaining, but I starting to wonder if my Christmas outfit is going to look like a potato sack on me. Time will tell . Keep it up everyone. Our health is important!

sherylynn- 0.5 down is still a loss, and that's weight that's not coming back! Keep following the protocol and you WILL have success! Take it one day at a time.

I've just had my weekly weigh-in, down another 3 lbs, making for a total of exactly 25 pounds in exactly two months. I'm now 4 lbs from my initial goal, and am considering dropping it another 5 lbs.

Progress picks to follow tomorrow!

Cheers,
Allison
