Default Allergic Reaction to IP Soups?

Hello,

Im on day 7 today and so far so good.

Has anybody else experienced a slight allergic reaction to the IP soups?

On day 2, I had the Chicken Soup and had an allergic reaction to it, itchy and red lips, my tongue was itchy and my throat was itchy. It wasn't so bad that I was worried but it was a concern which I wanted to keep in mind.

On day 3 I had the Tomato Soup and has a similar but much less noticeable reaction.

On day 4 I had the Mushroom Soup, same reaction as the Tomato.

Today I had the Leek Soup. This time the reaction was bad enough that about 3 sips into the soup, I had to stop eating it.

Im seeing my Coach today and of course will bring this up but I was wondering if anybody has had a simliar experience with the soups?

I havent had a reaction to any of the other IP foods at all, just the soups. I do have a couple of food allergies, one is Mango, the other is Pistachio Nuts. I have no other food allergies or nut allergies.

TIA!

Uh oh. IP may not be for you. Look at the ingredients of the pkts, maybe there is a common denominator that you are reacting too. You can't take this too lightly. My 2 kids blood tested positive for several food allergies although neither one of them had any more than the type of reaction you described. That was until 4 wks ago when my daughter was rushed to the ER after eating a cheese sandwich and canned peaches . Her throat had closed up almost completely. If we had not been 3 blks from the hospital we may have had a tragedy on our hands, according to the ER doc. so if you are having reactions to several types of IP foods, please be very careful about continuing. Good luck and let us know what you find out.

I had problems also. I think it was soy. I didn't react as badly as you--just itchy. I now just choose whey, milk, or egg proteins. Let us know what your coach says.

If you are having that type of reaction, you should stop the foods immediately. There are plenty of allergens in the foods and until you know what the specific cause is, losing weight isn't worth the possible consequences.
