Can't wait to you share your WI results today.. you are doing just an great job:cp: |
I had what I call a warm orange creamsicle for breakfast.
I use a stick blender for this, but you can use a regular blender, too. Just make sure to clean either one immediately, or you will have cement later. ;) Make it from 2 cups ice cold water, 1 vanilla packet and 8 drops (about 1/8 tsp) pure orange extract. Resist the urge to add more orange, it's strong. If you do want a little extra, add by the single drop. Trust me. Place water in stick blender cup/blender first. Add orange and pulse. Add pudding and blend. I like to make it frothy, so when I drink it warm, there's like a foam topper, similar to whipped cream. My stick blender cup goes in the microwave - if using a blender, pour result into a large 4 cup bowl and microwave for 2 mins. You need the extra room because it does foam more in the micro. Next, I use a smaller coffee mug to drink. Pour in some and the foam rises to the top. I get 5 small mugs from my concoction, YMMV depending how big your mug is. If you want the drink warmer, micro your mug for 30 second intervals. My point here is that you end up with a mug of hot vanilla cocoa, like white chocolate, w/ orange flavor. Like a melted creamsicle!! Very tasty and warm and filling, like a new treat. FinnSteve has more "warm pudding packet drink" ideas, check them out. I also make the dark choco pudd into a melted peppermint patty drink. Just be so so so careful w/ peppermint extract, a single drop is very powerful. ;) |
Thanks guys for all the warm welcomes and wonderful suggestions. I still stare at those boxes of peach mango every day and can't go back to them yet but love the other things I have tried. And best of all my cravings for all things carb and sugar are gone and I lost 7.4 lbs my first week! So excited! The hardest thing is retraining myself on my daily "habits". since I am always on the go I am now packing a bag of veggies and IP with me- but I still had a need to drve thru fast food restaurant window (so strange) but just ordering a bottle of water did the fix for me.
And I will admit I did have a breakdown one day and cheat by eating a carb item that I used to love and I could only eat a bite of it because it now tasted like dirty feet to me. So now I have no desire to eat anything of sugar and carbs because dirty feet are not to my liking:dizzy: . Looking forward to our new weight loss future! |
Hello all! Just finished day 3!!! I'm so excited!!! Being a total sweet-tooth I thought I would have gave in by now. Preparing my meals has been a little time consuming, but I think as the time goes by I will know my likes and dislikes better. According to my coach, I have to eat every 4 hours, which is a challenge in itself, as I normally had no structured meal times. But I'm working on it! Look forward to learning more from your posts, good luck to all!!! :)

If you can find Walden Farms products at your stores, scoop them up! They are terrific salad dressings and syrups for your IP pancakes, etc. I keep individual serving packets in my purse for travel. Hang in there. I never had any willpower for diets until this one - it works. I don't feel hungry and sometimes have to remind myself it is meal time. There is absolutely fantastic advise and encouragement from some folks who REALLY have some serious experience with all of this. You can do it!!

How are you guys doing?
How are y'all?

I am doing great although weekends (I work weekends) are harder getting my food in at the right time and the right amount but I lost 7.4 lbs my first week! Yeah!

I have the same problem. It's ironic, really. I work at a hospital taking care of patients for 12 hour shifts, yet I can't seem to take 15 minutes to get my food in :( This was my first weekend on IP, and I think the only reason I made it through was PRE-PREPARATION. I spent quite some time (2 hours on Friday night) figuring out all my meals for Saturday. Breakfast: Wildberry Yogurt Mix, before leaving home. Lunch: Mushroom soup, with 1 cup chopped veggies- green onion, chard, turnips - and 1 cup salad (cucumber, cabbage, lettuce, radishes). For snack I had the Cookies n' Cream bar. For dinner, a tuna salad with 1 hard boiled egg, cabbage, celery, green pepper LOTS OF PREPPING!!! Let's keep at it! :) |
