Also, I am pretty sure the last two days are cravings and not hunger. I have had a couple hunger pangs when I have (unintentionally) went to long between meals.
One last question for you experianced IPers:
I have found an alternative shake, but am not sure if it would kick me out of ketosis as it contains 1g of sugar? (I thought it was suppose to be ZERO sugar, but on the alternatives thread, I see some are using alternatives with low sugar content)
The rest of the shake seems pretty good.
20g protein
4g carbs
120 calories
Anyone???
what is the name of the shake?

Tonight was the hardest night for me since beginning 2-1/2 weeks ago. My son's girlfriend is coming over for dinner so I made chicken and rice, yeast hot rolls, and brownies. None of which I can eat! It was so hard pushing away the temptation of the brownies and hot rolls, but I will not eat any of it! I also made a large salad and I have chicken grilling for me right now. I will be strong, but man is it hard sometimes! My mouth literally watered when I poured the brownie batter into the pan. I hurried and stuck it and the spatula in a sinkful of soapy water!

Default Bars

I am looking for some alternative bars......my fav IP bars are the caramel nut and vanilla peanut butter. The cookies and cream and peanut butter ones are just ok to me. I love the chocolate soy puffs.......any recommendations for flavors of pure protein bars?

I had a dream a few weeks ago about eating lots of peanut butter cookies. I woke up so mad at myself, believing that I had actually done that. Finally about a half hour later I realized I didnt make any cookies and stayed home all night so there was no way I could have.
And yes, They tasted soooo good, even the texture was so real

As far as I know, there are only 3 types. Double chocolate, which is decent. Peanut butter, which is divine, and chocolate chip which is just ok.
You may want to try the atkin's. They have similar flavors as IP

Default Horseradish

Jelly,
I get it at Safeway. It should be with the other condiments and near the salad dressings and barbeque sauces. They have actually been moving it around in my store. It used to be right at the meat counter.

Ahh I haven't been able to check in for almost a week now! Was so busy with thanksgiving, visiting everyone and then getting back to work. I was a little worried to even get back on the scale but I'm happy with a loss just over 1 pound Now that I'm back in a routine I'll be able to get my veggies in a lot easier and not be so worried.

Granby - About the pure protein bars, I've only ever seen the peanut butter chocolate and then brownie chocolate one - both of which I love. If you find any other flavours let us know!

Hope everybody had a good week

Default Cravings

I am 4 weeks in and get what I would consider cravings. Pizza, for instance, looks really good and thinking about it makes my mouth water. I would love some red velvet cake, too. That said, we have had pizza in our house and brownies, and it wasn't hard to ignore them. I did smell the pizza, though.

I am sure some of it (maybe all of it) with me is psychological and not physiological.

So, for people who do not have cravings, what is that like? Is it like nothing seems appetizing?

P.S. I had the IP Vegetable Chili. Yum. I really liked it.

Default Sparkling Water

My coach just e-mailed me. She said that Pelegrino and Crystal Geyser (including the lemon, lime, and orange flavors) are permitted on the plan and that the sodium isn't an issue because the IP foods are so low in sodium. This is a relief because the flat water is getting so very dull.
