I'm a Starbucks dark roast fan, whether it be French Roast or Espresso. I just boil water and pour it over the grounds, nice and strong. I get the decaf too, for an evening cup.
I thought the skim-milk we were allowed was pathetic in coffee, so I just got used to drinking it black. With a really good coffee, it's alright. I'm in maintenance now, and sometimes I'll use cream, but many times I still have it black.
It's funny, I almost did not do this diet because I didn't think I could give up my creamers. Now that I'm drinking black coffee I can really tell what type I like. I have always loved, and still love starbucks- sumatra. This is a bold coffee. What is also very nice is their breakfast blend, and this is more mild. I have to drink really good coffee now. Dunkin D. coffee isn't good to me. Another interesting note, the coffee from my Kurig tastes better than freshly ground and freshly brewed coffee. These are things I never noticed before because hot dishwater would have been yummy with my french vanilla creamer.
Hit it. Good coffee is still good coffee.black. I think bad coffee benefits most from cream and sugar. I've nevernliked sugar in mine just lots of cream. A few ice cubes helps whennit is too hot.
I love Green Mountain Morning Blend and Folgers Vanilla Biscoti made from my Keurig I take my coffee black and hot (just like I like my man LOL)
Smooches
I also have a Keurig and love Caribou Coffee which I can buy at Sam's Club. I'll have to try the Folgers Vanilla Biscotti! I also take my coffee the same way as you though my man isn't the same
Jamaican Blue Mountain Coffee but I have not had it in a while as I have not been there lately and have not had anyone close go down to bring us pack a few 5lb bags! We used to pack a carry on full..
so in the meantime we experiment with the various coffees found at Marshalls
- one I like is Honduras organic which is a light whole bean coffee under the Chesapeake Bay Roasting Company label
I also have a Keurig. Being a former Espresso cart owner (my son did banquets) I know, the darker the coffee roast, the LESS caffeine. I like the Starbucks Verona (less expensive at Costco) for a lighter roast, the Gloria Jeans Cappuccino is very good. If you find a Keurig coffee that you really like, you can place it on "autoship" at Amazon and it's significantly less money!
I have a Keurig too and my faves are always flavored coffee. Make sure you check the Nutrition Facts though.. I almost bought some tasty sounding ground coffee to use in my refillable cup thing and I just happened to look at the back.. It had 26 grams of carbs per cup!!!! X.X
Plain Black Coffee would have to be Caribou Coffee. I'll take that over Starbucks ANY DAY.
Mmm Sumatra. Sumatra and Ethiopian are our favorites. But, generally speaking we go for a dark roast like French which is a challenge without a lot of cream. I can't think of a good lighter coffee that does not need cream. Something like Colombian might be lighter. I wonder about Mocha (Moka) Java. I noticed the less creamer or creamer type product I put in, the weaker I like the coffee.
