The drug store has medications for diarrhea. What are you eating?
Diarrhea lasting for several days...you might want to see your doctor to rule out anything. |
Did you just start the program? If so, the diarrhea is your body getting rid of all the toxins that had been stored up before you went on this diet. These are eliminated the first weeks of the program. Sorry to tell you, but I had constant diarrhea for the first two weeks of the diet but my coach told me that it was normal. You don't generally want to stop your body from eliminating the toxins so it is best to just let it run its course. I know, it sucks. I wouldn't discourage you from going to the doctor though. If you feel you need to, don't hesitate. I am just telling you what it was from my own experience. It will subside! One thing is make sure you don't chug a whole bunch of water at once. That just makes it worse! Sip on your water throughout the day.

Funny you bring this up, I haven't had the problem in 6 weeks, however this week I've have. I can't point to any changes in what I've been eating, but I've also had mid-back pains too. Odd.

I have this problem from eating lots of salads and fruits, and because I drink a lot of applejuice (courtesy of gallstones). I find a couple of days off the salads and fruit, with a lift in carbohydrates (within reason, given the diet) settles it down.
However I do find that, since I am on a disciplined diet anyway, that I pass solids more often than before, going about four times a day instead of once. It is okay to be loose bowelled when you radically change your lifestyle and diet but important to remember to drink lots of water to compensate dehydration and if the situation does not improve or at least fluctuate to gain medical opinion. It could be you need to adjust your diet just a little at a time rather to allow your body to deal with it in its own best way. |
