Kale chips?
I know this should be in the recipe section but I've already been there with this one...I've tried making these three times and all I get is soggy kale, burnt edges. It doesn't crisp up, and certainly doesn't look good to eat. Can someone clarify how to make them? I think I am doing it right but something is wrong.
OH...I also found a cool drink, probably someone else has already tried this but taking the new rtd mango and whirring it in a blender with ice makes this creamy, frothy yummy shake. It's even better with a splenda added...:):) |
Are you using the paper or just putting them on a cookie sheet? What temp are you using on the oven?

I use the hungry girl recipe. Make sure the kale is dry and the big vein is cut out. Also make sure they are cut into bite size peices. Good luck!
2 cups fresh kale leaves Olive oil nonstick spray Dash salt, or more to taste Preheat oven to 425 degrees. Place kale leaves on a baking sheet sprayed with olive oil nonstick spray. Spritz leaves with the nonstick spray and sprinkle with salt. Bake in the oven until crispy, 5 - 8 minutes, for a potato-chip-like snack. If you like, season to taste with additional salt. Eat up! I will try it this way; I had washed and dried the leaves, and then shook them in a plastic bag with olive oil and spices. I put the leaves, pretty big, on a cookie sheet and baked at 400.
Well...I'll try again. You like them enough to go through the effort? |
I find it works better with parchment paper on the baking sheet.

They are so worth it! I burnt my first batch too, so keep trying. Use the parchment paper for sure and like Ishbel said "keep checking them".
