While this forum is useful and informational beyond measure, it's incredible, I do not find it very user friendly at all :\ so I understand.

I don't know what the solution is, but can we not have a DAILY CHAT and a DAILY IP QUESTIONS thread? Put the date on both and have them closed everyday? :?: |
Just for the record when I made the thread about "starting new threads" it was not to scold anyone at all, I was just trying to get a little more easier for everyone instead I opened a whole new can of worms I suppose.
I will be one of the first ones to step up to the plate to help someone IF I know the answer. Of course it is always just my opinion. But anyone that ask a question in the daily thread or a new thread usually gets a response from me because I am here most of the time since I work at home. The daily threads may be a bit personal but we are like an extended family all going through the same thing. Its good to know what everyone is going through because we may be going through the same things but don't want to post about it. These boards have been a saving grace for quiet a few of us including myself. I have a few that I keep an eye on just to make sure they don't give up, sometimes it just takes that little bit of extra time to get to know someone and you help them more than you will ever know. I have not seen one time where when a newbie posted in the daily thread that they were NOT welcomed by one of us. We all say the same thing welcome to the board, lots of information here and don't be afraid to ask questions.....This is just my two cents....Lisa |

We understand that different users like to use the forum in different ways. Some of you prefer posting in the daily threads, and some prefer posting new threads. Both are OK. We suggest that if responding outside of the daily threads bothers you, you stick in there and do not respond to the individual threads. Those who are less bothered can answer any questions in individual threads.
But the moderators strongly believe that chastising of new members (whether gentle or not) for "posting wrong", especially considering that there are no forum policies or rules dictating how posts should be made, is contrary to our 3FC policy of inclusiveness and is ultimately harming our community. |
