[QUOTE=nikkib;4022157] On that note I think I got sick because I have not been OP 100% for about 2 1/2 weeks tho and it has caused my body to be out of wack. It is so hard to stay on track after a cheat. Your body gets so messed up and it is a vicious cycle. I would start each day OP and then by the end of the day totaly blow it. I put my foot down on Friday and NO MORE. I am just going to have to get over the withdrawl or I will never get this finished. It is of course much worse than the first time tho because you know what hard work it is to get back into ketosis. I have gained a total of 8 pounds since I figured. In reality tho I have set myself back those 2 1/2 weeks PLUS the week it is going to take to get settled in ketosis. I did read the thread on the real cost of cheating and it is so true. /QUOTE]
Thank you so much for this!! I have really fallen off the wagon. I kept feeling icky and could not stop eating more carbs. Now I realized why. I am going through withdrawal symptoms.
Good afternoon!! I kind of introduced myself in the 'newbies' thread, but I thought I would jump in here as well. I'm leaving in a few minutes to go pick up my first week of food & supplements. I had started when my local clinic offered a Groupon, but when hubby and I added up the extra cost we decided to back out.
My turning point was last weekend when I saw a picture of myself. I literally didn't recognize myself, I was disgusted. We've adjusted the budget, and I am ready to start full force in the morning!! I just hope I ordered the right foods. It's hard to tell.

Good luck to you and welcome! I hope you have fun picking out your items. There are so many good ones. I experienced the turning point you speak of. (often pictures are reality checks aren't they?) I was in tears trying to get dressed in the morning and feel good about walking out the door. I remember the conversation with my husband telling him it was time for me to do something.
HI, this is my first post, I am on day 9 and have lost 10 lbs. This site really helps me when I have questions. The pickles have been a lifesaver for me.
I just hope I can continue to keep losing!!

Welcome!! I love this site and some people have truly amazing attitudes. (I wanna be just like Wuv when I grow up ) I come on and vent a bit when things don't go my way, which I've been doing waaay too much of lately but it is easy to feel comfortable with everyone here and I also glad to have found my way here. Best of luck to you TC!!!!

Welcome TC, lots of information here, don't be afraid to ask questions, one of us will respond to it. I am here more than the normal since I work from home and have access to the site at the spin of my mouse...haha....Some may think I am here too much but oh well....it helps me help others and that is all that matters to me
I am not a newbie but I am recommitting myself today. I lost 20 pounds last spring and then slowly gave into temptation. I have been fighting some severe back problems and pain and had a wake up call this weekend and decided it was time to get serious. I spent a lot of time reading the posts and so far so good on my first day back.

Well welcome back Kamikazecat, you know how it works so you will be just fine
2 Ride, when my Old English was very ill the only thing she would eat was cooked chicken & white rice, put in the food processor, I added in liquid Omegas.
Thank you...
I will have to try that again, my friend works at my vets and she said boiled meat and brown rice, will try more tonight, I just feel so bad that I had to leave her without her eating much. Have a great day
I LOVE CHEESE = I LOVE BROCCOLI AND CHEESE SOUP!!! It's so amazing! Just like how I make it!

That is my all time favorite too, but now that I don't have a packet at lunch I really miss it... but I can't have it for breakfast or for snack soooo... trying to explore my other options... but I really do miss it.
