Energy drink to boost energy?
I posted a week or so ago about lethargy. I've been on IP for over 4 weeks and have absolutely no energy. When I'm super busy I can power through, but I absolutely collapse at the end of the day. There are times I feel like I'm slogging through wet cement.
So, the doctor at the clinic recommended I eat my restricted earlier in the day and see if that helps with my energy. It hasn't. He said if that doesn't work, they have some sort of energy drink I can take to help. Has anybody heard of this? |

Admittedly, I am not a good sleeper, but I've never felt this weak before. I will also admit that for two days this week I did not get all of my packets or calories in -- just crazy busy. But I've felt like this slogging through cement feeling even when I have gotten all of my calories and supplements in. I'm losing weight like I've never lost before and I don't want to stop doing it, but I really can't go on feeling like this. |

I get at least 100 oz of water a day. I'm getting concerned that there's an undetected underlying problem. I just had a full physical in June, which was the impetus for my starting to get serious about losing weight once and for all. I just don't know... I have my next weigh in on Tuesday morning. If I am still feeling like this then, I'm going to go to my doc for a blood workup. I don't want to drink an energy drink. |

I feel like I'm running on fumes...vapors...I'm on my last bar of battery power and flashing...I have been following the plan...taking my supplements...drinking a lot of water (more than 64 oz)...and eating my veggies. The one thing I don't do is lettuce and that's because I feel like my veggies are all I can do for greens....I've eyed energy drinks as well...I have been having coffee in the afternoon to give me a jolt so I can make through work. I've also wondered if it is some underlying issue or reaction this diet. Let's see if we can come up with an idea to fix this. Thanks.

This is strange. I am usually a person with very low energy but have not had any problems in that department since starting IP. I hope you get a solution soon.

Do y'all have a problem with SOY? maybe it has something to do with that. I am grasping at straws but trying to think of things it could be and trying to help
|
I have no problems with soy -- I was a vegetarian for over 20 years. I'm starting to get really anxious about this, yet I can't bring myself to go off program for anything.
I was thinking I'd eat an extra restricted today, but I can't bring myself to do it. I told my husband I am done for the day -- I'm not washing dishes or cleaning up at all, which is really unheard of by me. I hate to leave a messy kitchen. Anyway, it's 7 pm and I'm about to get into pajamas and fall asleep in front of the tv. |
Fatigue is a sign of a bigger problem- either there's a hidden health issue, or there's something wrong with your food intake. I would never, ever trust a doctor who told me to take energy drinks.

I've been feeling a bit sluggish lately, too. I think it's just the days getting shorter... :?:
I always get everything in each day. i just wonder if maybe my body has adjusted to the eating habits? I've been on IP since May, so that's nearly 18 weeks - with 5 more to go in Phase 1. I know I will be ready to move on to Phase 2, that is for sure! |
