So with that in mind I'm down 8# since the start which is more acceptable and inline with what my coach says is normal.
Great job on your WI this morning, keep it up for sure you are heading in the right direction!

Nice job Yguy, I have my WI in about 40 minutes, so we will see if the added protein this week helped me as well.
Glad to hear it helped you some.

I hear you on the rain Lisa, I have to teach outside for about 18 hours total this upcoming weekend, I don't want raid but I also don't want over 100 degrees like the last weekend when I taught lol.
mid 70's would be really nice.

Yes Lisa I will update you tonight to let you know how it went.
Take care and stay strong everyone.
I will probably start the new thread tomorrow sometime since we are getting close to 500 again.

Thanks all, felt good today. Though felt better Monday when I put on shirt and slacks that I hadn't worn in many years.

Good luck at the WI wayward, hope the protein helped you out too!

I'm feeling very shaky right now. Actually I feel shakey often on the plan because my blood pressure goes so low.
But I'm feeling bad beacuse I'm pretty sure I'm the cranky ole ***** referred to in the daily thread who should have no right to comment on anything because my losses are so slow.
I know it is stupid to get into fights with strangers on the internet and I avoid doing so at all costs.
It just hit me hard after a really tough day at work to realize what I thought was a simple conversation would provoke such an attack.

Could one or two of you do me a favour and go read the thread called "What would you do?" from yesterday and tell me if my comments were way out of line? I thought i was just following a normal conversation. I value the opinion of the people in this group.

But I did have an haha moment at work. It was an all day meeting and people bring in the most incredible treats etc.
Since I have begun the program I have eaten nothing at work that I did not bring in myself. Today I had no desire at all to eat all the 'wonderful" stuff all around me, it was if it didn't exist in my personal space. I think that will be a huge step in maintaining if I continue to follow that rule, only eat what I bring. Lots of people I work with can eat the stuff and don't have a weight problem but they are far more physically active than I am.

Pat

Wayward==Congrats on the 6 lb loss! Hey, can you tell me how you know you need to increase your protein? Also, how do you know how much you need to increase it? What do you do to increase it (extra piece of meat, another packet)? Thank you in advance for the information. I'm working out more now and I'm interested in your reasoning for the increase and also what exactly you are doing. Thanks again.

Pat I don't know you, but I saw nothing out of line or rude in your posts at all, in fact I read two times figuring I'd missed something.

Stickingtotheplan, I have to increase my protein because my muscle mass dropped 2 weeks in a row, caused by not enough protein right after exercising.
So my plan this week, have a full protein bar after riding my bike and a 52g of protein whey shake when I get home from the track at night.
This will give me an extra 72g of protein and 6 grams of fat on nights when I do double work out, when I just hit the track I will just have the shake.

The bars I got from Amazon at a heck of a price, 12 for $9 delivered.
Whey is from Wal-Mart.

Patns I will read the thread for you as well.

Keep positive, my wife only lost one pound this week, but lost like 3 inches, I told her the same thing you hear, a loss is a loss.

Pat... **** no, that was very helpful and good information and thoughts.
If someone had a problem with that they shouldn't be on a forum like this.
The fact that you remain so positive and helpful while having "smaller" losses as you put it is very commendable.
Stay JUST THE WAY YOU ARE!!!

Your input is always welcomed with us.
