My kids want my IP food!

  • Today I made some IP soup in the blender. I added two cups of cooked veggies, some organic stock (probably a cheat but I'm still losing) and today I added 5 oz of chopped cooked chicken. I let the veggies and the chicken stay a little chunky. So I'm eating it and my 7 yr old daughter is licking her lips! I let her try some thinking she would not like it, but now she is begging me for a bowl. My 3 yr old did the same thing when I made my IP orange pancake. I gave him a little taste and now he wants pancakes! So I made him some regular ones. So when I eat an IP bar I think I'm going to hide in the bathroom!
  • hehehe monkey see, monkey do!
  • Yup, my young one wants it but I just tell him it's grown up food.
  • My 5 year old loves the bars. I let her have a bite here and there and she had one for snack the other day but they are too expensive for that! She bugs me everyday and I feel bad but it's not gonna happen.
  • Ha, ha my 4 yo. always want my IP restricted's so I buy one extra bag of wht cheddar ridges or chocolate soy puffs or something like that. I split it into 2 servings and let him have it. Its so hard to give up what little food your allowed to eat for the day especially the restricted's. He also now loves roasted cauliflower too, lol. Its funny what they want when they see you have it all the time. He also love the big mac bowl. Who knew!
  • My 4 yr old is the same way. These IP packs are way too expensive to be packing for her lunch but she begs for my chocolate soy puffs. She calls them "Chocolate Dings"....I mean, she actually cries over them. I caught her sipping my vanilla rtd as well! So now I hide them from her. One evening I thought she was sleeping and was secretly snacking on the soy puffs. She came into my room and stuck her nose to my mouth and said, "You lie! You have chocolate dings!!!".
  • hehehe.. kids are the greatest!!

Haha, that's hilarious! My son loves the Dill Pickle Zippers but he's 12 and realizes that they are a treat for me as I can't have the regular dill pickle chips. I do give him a few though.

I have to say that both my son (12) and daughter (16) are reading labels when they pick a treat on our Saturday treat day now. I am hoping that as we are all making healthier choices they will continue once they are grown up and out of the house.
