Default My Daily Journal

Hello,
I have been doing IP now for six weeks. The first few weeks I found it very helpful to use the daily journal to make sure I stayed on plan and remembered everything. I dont feel like I need to write it down anymore and I usually dont have time to, either. My clinic just asked for my journal and said they have to keep them on file incase the home office inspects them. I havent told them I dont do it anymore. Is this the case for everyone? Did you have to give over your journals? What if you didnt want to keep them anymore?

Funny how all clinics are different. I probably wrote for the first week, then stopped. My coach never even asked for it...not even once!

I wrote everything down religiously for the first 1 1/2 weeks just to get started. Now I don't write anything down and my coach hasn't asked to see it. I think as long as you are losing and you feel good, you don't need to write it down.

I just started on thursday, but my clinic told me I have to turn mine in every week and I noticed they have holes punched in the top so I think they must put them in a folder.

I'm a scheduler, so I have everything on a spreadsheet so I can order my food in advance, have a shopping list for grocery store, I also try to space it out so I don't have to buy everything at once and have a variety, but my coach never asks for it. She just asks me and I tell her verbally and go from there.

My coach reviews my journal each week. I think it's a great idea to track every bite in case you need to tweak things later.

My coach has never once asked for my journal! She never even asked me to keep it

I keep track on my own in my little calendar so that I can monitor any changes. If I have a really good week one week and then I find that I am struggling, I will go back and look at what I did on that good week so that I can do it again. This comes from years and years and years of keeping an exercise and food journal. It is now 2nd nature. I feel weird if I don't write my food down

My coach asked for my journal every visit for the first month and then didn't ask to see it again once it got full. She has never told me to "turn it in". I still have it. However, last week when I did not lose pounds or inches, she asked me to keep it for this week. I agree that's a good idea. I have been doing so and I'm sure she will ask to see it on Thursday. She has never mentioned the need to check for ketones in the urine, so I never have.
