4 cups of veggies at once?
I'm wondering if anybody does this?
Because of time constraints it is sometimes just impossible to get in 4 cups of vegetables, so I was wondering if anyone knows if it would be ok to have the 4 cups of vegetables in one meal. I guess my concern is if eating the bulk of our carbs in one meal could have an adverse effect. |
oh dear..i could not do that..i would barf im sure.

Heck NO, I can barely eat 2 cups, plus salad, plus protein. Why would you want to eat all 4 at once?
Someone on here said that you need to eat the veggies with the protein, kinda like FUEL + MATCH = EXPLOSION (or at least a fire) lol |
Well part of my 4 cups is 2 cups of spinach, which isn't too much to eat. Basically I'm just trying to find ways that I can make sure I get the 4 cups in everyday. My plan is to add the 4 cups to my salad/protein. I think I can handle it in one sitting. I just did the math and that would amount to about 13g of carbs.

13 grams of carbs just for the veg? Then add in the carbs for the protein and you have anywhere from 15 to 30.
I couldn't eat that much veg at once. |

I meant my meat protein, so 0 carbs on that. So it sounds like nobody has tried it. I guess I"ll have to give it a try and see what the results are. btw I don't plan on doing this everyday, just on days when I know I won't be able to get in all four cups at different meals. |
I think I had three cups of veggies (2 cups bok choy, 1 cup broccoli) last night with some tofu. I only had 1/4 cup at lunch.
Not sure why it would be a problem, but I hope if it is someone will let us know. |
