What would YOU do?
I have my monthly group meeting tonight. We jump around and patronize numerous resturants around town. I intentionally excused myself from last month meeting. I was just in my 2nd week of IP building my confidence and Roberto's fried green tomatoes would have been the death of me at that time.
I have perused the menu for tonight and there is not one IP friendly dish. And I refuse to pay 10 bucks for a bowl of lettuce. I have no problem not ordering food and my group peeps are non-judgemental. My problem is I have to leave home around 4:30 for an eye appointment and then on to the meeting for 6PM. I won't get home until at least 8:30 with bedtime around 10PM. I despise eating anywhere near my bedtime. How in the heck am I gonna get my food in this evening? My initial thoughts were to eat raw veggies after eye appointment and then have a bar on the ride home. What would you do?????? |
Wow, that's a tough one! I think your idea of veggies on the way to the eye appointment and bar on the way home is a great one. Or you could do 2 hard-boiled eggs as your dinner protein on the way over with your veggies, then a bar on the way home.
Unless you might have crispy cereal you could mix water into at the restaurant? |
I would take a shaker and a drink with me to the eye appointment, and the raw veggies and the hard boiled eggs as your supper replacement protein and then a snack whether it be a bar or something else. The more convenient the better.

Thanks ladies. I didn't even think about the HB eggs. Excellent idea. The bar is (hopefully) just a backup. I'm gonna do my best to NOT be affected by the food and alcohol being consumed by the 40+ people around me. Thinking if I feel a moment of weakness coming on, I can always make a trip to the restroom. :) On the other hand, if that drop dead gorgeous new member shows up tonight, my distractions are covered!!! :flow1:
