Exactly. Spaghetti squash is traditionally made from "yellow" squash (I do believe), which is a "no-no" on IP (Phase One anyway...not sure when it gets reintroduced). We are allowed zucchini tho.....YUM!!!:)

spaghetti squash has 10 carbs per cup and that is almost all of the nutrition in it. There is one gram of protein and no fat. I am assuming that this is too many carbs for a veggie.

From things I have seen on here and talking to my coach, I treated spaghetti squash as an occasional veggie. When I made it up, I baked it, pulled it with a fork so it was like spaghetti and then measured it out in 1 cup portions and put them in the freezer. That way I knew that I was only taking in 1 cup. It is a yummy substitute for spaghetti that I still prefer now on phase 4. If you do choose to have it, I would make it your restricted for the day - no bars!

Zucchini and yellow summer squash are allowed veggies.

So if summer squash is allowed..what is summer squash exactly???

It is the yellow crockneck squash.
