Default Oatmeal Pancake

here is another Pancake recipe I came across somewhere on these boards, it too sounds yummy.

1 packet IP oatmeal make as directed
cook in heated sprayed skillet like a pancake, eat w/wf maple syrup

this sounds good too, if I can ever give up one of my favorite restricted' s I'll have to try this out.

Maybe I might try adding some baking powder and a hint of cinnamon and vanilla to this one too.

the post I read this from however did not add anything different and said it was way better that the plain oatmeal in a bowl.

Hi MK, sorry haven't looked on here for a while. I peel the kohlrabi with a paring knife. The root end is tough to slice off, I basically just peel all the little bumpy things off and then slice the top and bottom off and then slice up like french fries. I mix them the same way as turnip chips... usually put in a bbq spice and evoo to coat all the chips nicely, then lay out on a cookie sheet, bake for about 30 minutes oven set to 400, I also turn the chips half way through. I just watch the chips until a nice crisp... good with a mayo/faux caesar dip... Hope that helps.

Well, I lacked ingredients and ended up making what tastes like Greek Tzatzki.

1/3 c WF mayo
1/2 c diced cucumbers
1/4 c green onions
1 Tbl lemon juice
1 large clove garlic pressed
sprinkle with Dill to taste

Mix and chill thoroughly. I am thinking of adding mint!

Serve in an airtight container in fridge for up to 3... months. (at least I assume it will last that long because of the vinegar)

FYI: this is for 25 servings of 1 TBSP

There is 1.7g of carbs per serving which come from the tomato paste - which the only ingredient is tomatoes which is an allowable occasional vegetable...so just use in moderation!
Heinz actually creates a 1 carb sugar free ketchup that you can order off of low carb grocery ...Probably amazon too..and its awesome..it tastes totally normal..like regular ketchup

Have you tried it? I'm always afraid to buy stuff because I've thrown away so much WF stuff that was nasty.

Thanks for all of these great recipe suggestions! I'm just starting out and keeping it simple, but I know I'll be back here soon looking for more ideas.

Sorry, Just saw this, it's hard keeping track of people who comment on your comments, the cauliflower was cooked. I grab the kind that I can warm in microwave. I am going to have it Friday for lunch at work! yum.

Hey Jordanna, have you tried it. I saw it at my grocery store yesterday but was hesitant to buy it. Would love to know how it compares to the regular ketchup. Let me know.

I did not like the mayo alone either..but this is quite edible. I dumped it into tuna and it was good.

This is just information a new WF product I just got in the mail. My coach does not sell it nor can you get it in my town.
WF tomato and basil pasta sauce. It is much better than the marinara sauce..definitely stronger italian flavor..sort of like pizza sauce.
I am thinking of putting it over zuccini strips.

I am posting a Taco pizza recipe that I found in the archives from 2Riderrollercoast.
I think I am going to try this recipe as well as try taking the crepe crust and putting the pasta sauce on it with veges for a pizza taste.

Taco Pizza from 2Riderrollercoast

Crust - mix one IP Crepe packet with 1/4 tsp baking soda and add water to a thick dough. Bake for 10 mins at 350F. Flip over and cover with WF thick and spicy BBQ sauce. Then add filling

Filling
brown hamburger(chicken or turkey works good too)
add 1/4 cup of celery chopped and 1/4 cup onions to browned meat
add 2 tsp chili powder, 1 tsp cumin, 1 tsp chipotle spice, 1 tsp onion powder, sea salt and pepper to taste. Add 1/4 cup water and simmer until water is gone.

Put filling on top of dough, add sliced mushrooms, chopped cilantro, diced red peppers.

Put in oven for 10 minutes at 350f then put under broiler approx 5 min.

Serve with Tomatillo salsa, recipe to follow.
