Keep in mind that you where you store your fat can play a factor in your body fat percentage. Those with an "apple shape" tend to have a higher body fat percentage.
I've had mine done in a Bod Pod and I consider it fairly accurate. |
When I started, the bf scale at the coach's office said I was 44.3%! I think that was way off, since I'd had my bf done with a different kind of bioimpedance machine and it was like 34% not that long ago. Coach's machine now says I'm at 39.7%, which I still do not believe.
I am focusing instead on inches lost, how I feel, and overall body size. Based on those things, I still have a ways to go but not as far as I did a few weeks ago! Karen |
Karen- Even though the percentage may be off / high, I think you can still figure that you lost almost 5% body fat. Even though the numbers might not be right, you are 4.6% less on that scale, even though it may be consistantly high. Is this making sense? I am not quite sure how to put into words what I am trying to say.
I guess what I mean is, even if the actual numbers are not right, I think it is safe to say that you went down 4.6% body fat. |

Yes, I agree that I have lost about 4-5% body fat. I also pulled out my scale and set it to read bf this morning, and it says 31.4%, which I think is much more accurate, given my previous readings on two other machines besides my coach's. Karen |
