I can tell you that I do not like the puddings at all so I'll be glad to oick up my new foods. I can see myself doing this for several months to get to my ideal weight. I'd like to get down to 130-135. Does anyone have any idea how long that might take if I have no cheats and start to excercise in moderation starting my third week on IP? Has anyone lost 50 0r 60 pounds in 4 or 5 months? Share those stories...I want to hear them because I know they are out there.

Dee

Have you tried the puddings with more water to make more like a shake? OR adding 10 oz water, w/ice in a blender (I use a ninja) for like an iced smoothie/shake. I had 10oz coffee with the chocolate and that is yummy....just a suggestion.

It may also be work and challenging but it IS something for you, you WILL enjoy it once you see the losses (and watch as they become permanent) and know that nobody and nothing can take this amazing lifestyle change from you once you get started! See you soon!

Great weigh in future skinny girl!! I love the inches lost!

I am up about 1.5 pounds this morning from yesterday. I KNOW the fluctuations come and I know I shouldn't weight everyday, nevertheless I do, they do and I always feel a bit disappointed :/ It is motivation not to let any more slip ups happen, that's for sure!!

Other than some persistent uncomfortable gas / gas pains, my stomach problems seem to me settling for the time being . . .

Happy Saturday!

coliep....still think weight everyday is a BAD idea, sets you on an emotional roller coaster, and could justify some cheating excuse. YOu know what is best for you though....talking to you like a friend, b/c I feel like just after 1 week blogging here you regulars are like good friends to me, we are on this ride TOGETHER, we are not along YEAH!!

I remember being very weak but not dizzy. And it only lasted a week.
Keep us all posted.

The biggest success story I have heard about is the woman who was on IP for 6 months and lost 100 pounds. She was also walking 5-6 miles. It is on the sticky somewhere. Just read it yesterday. The sticky has a wealth of information. Lots of tips, recipes, GREAT support and advice. Anything you might want to know is probably on the threads in the sticky.

Weighing every day is an emotional roller coaster - yesterday I was feeling like this wouldn't work and today, of course, I weighed myself again and am happy to see some more weight off. We have to learn to put an emphasis on the means right now - not the end. Because I'm a little too far from the end and it makes me impatient.

Went to a baseball game last night and watched my friends eat nachos, hot dogs, french fries, popcorn and beer. I just sipped on my water. I'm so proud of myself for finally saying - for right now - nothing else is more important than working on me. I think I have an added benefit though that I KNOW I have a break from August 5th - August 14th. A BIG BREAK. So I have no doubts that I will stay 100% OP for the 2 weeks and four days I had allotted myself.

There is a quote that has been posted on a lot of threads that is a motivator for me.
It is from Kate Moss, "Nothing tastes as good as skinny feels."
It's true because believe it or not I used to be skinny. Borderline anorexic.

Watkat, I LOVE that quote!!! Just what I needed to read as I begin Day 3 for me. I'm still starving, lol. I've been off from work the last 2 days and I go in today. See how I do outside of the safety of my house where it was easy to stay OP because IP stuff is all I have in the house, lol
Hope every one is having a great weekedn :)

Watkat 07-23-2011 11:29 AM

I am glad you liked it. It helps me quite a lot when I get down in the dumps.
Make sure to stay OP. Vegetables, salads. You can do this. You don't have a lot to lose. The prize is in sight...go for it!!!

Good Morning,

I'm starting IP on Monday as that's my WW weigh-in day. I figure I may as well have the same day. I'm going to use alternative products.

I just had a packet of Protidiet Vegetarian Joe. It's tastes good but very salty. I just can't believe that this 1/2 cup of food is going to keep my satistied until lunch! Did anyone else feel like that in the beginning? Does it get better? Yesterday I had the Strawberry Yogurt Shake and could have eaten 1 hour later. 2 hours and I was definitely hungry.

stolaf 07-23-2011 01:20 PM

Today was my first weigh in and i lost 5 pounds! I am so happy especially because I've only done this 5 days.

Im starting Tuesday and was wondering if you guys think the best thing to do is like you did and remove everything from the house that isnt on the plan? How do you handle drop in company and you have no "real food" or even a soda to offer them? :o

I'm excited and a little bit nervous.

Emmie

Calee-Yes, I did feel the same way. I was FAMISHED! Then I remembered I could eat lettuce all day long. I use the Walden Farms Honey dijon dressing but they say the WF vinaigrettes are much better. As long as I can eat something I am okay.
