Long Term IP Users
 

Hello, are there any Ideal Protein dieters that have been on the diet for more than 6 months/a year? Any side effects? Age restrictions? My father and I are thinking about doing the diet but we both have a long way to our goal weights and I want to make sure it's a health alternative.

Also, any cardiac patients using this diet?

I was on the diet for six months and lost 80 lbs prior to getting pregnant and had no side effects at all...

i will have been on IP for 6 months on 7/07. no side effects for me, other than having to buy much smaller clothing!

Have you lost the 82 pounds in 6 months? I have 60 to lose and would like to get it done in 6 months.

yes, all 82 lbs were lost on IP from jan 7th 2011 to now.

The 11th of this month will be my 6 month anniversary. I feel amazing but I will say my hair has been falling out for a month now. I have a lot of it so it's really only annoying not cosmetically damaging. I'm phasing off in a few weeks (because I'm close to goal- YAY) but I wouldn't hesitate staying on it longer if I had more to lose.

July 8th will be 5 months for me and I have not found any side effects either... I liked long divisions answer except for smaller clothing... that is a side effect that I am enjoying... a little anyway, seems like I get use to a size and I am on to another... good thing I have friends and a couple of really good goodwill shops.

I lost 70 lbs and feel amazing...its a wonderful program...I was so happy I even started my own clinic...Good luck on your journey..
