Birth Control-Ideal Protein

I have been on Ideal Protein for 4 weeks now, and I have lost 10.8lbs. Not bad, but it has been very up and down for me. I lost 5lbs the first and third week, and none the second and fourth week. I am worried that this is because of my birth control. I didn't lose any inches the fourth week, and that is really discouraging for me. I have not cheated once, I eat minimal restricteds, and the novi-cleans has not worked for me either. Does anyone have any suggestions or ideas about how to keep losing inches even though I'm on birth control?

Thanks!

Not te be overly nosey but what kind of birth control are you on? How much weight are you trying to lose?

I have an IUD and it hasn't made a difference for me, but everyone body is different.

What is your starting weight? How much water are you drinking? Are you having restricted? And what type of birth control are you on?

I am taking yaz, I have been on it for three years. My starting weight was 143 I'm at 133. I know that is a healthy weight but I am small boned and I carry a lot of extra weight around my middle and I am just trying to lose inches. I think that I am about 5'7. I drink at least 64oz of water a day, and I have a restricted less than every other day.

I gained about 15 lbs when I started taking Yaz & I've still not got the weight off. I am a firm believer that hormones can control your weight. I'm currently not taking and birth control & will never go back. Glad it's out of my system. JMO

People who have less to lose often lose a little slower. You are still over 2 lbs per week... good for you!

Where are you (your coach?) measuring? Is it possible you are losing where you don't realize (arms? thighs?)? Are you taking all of your supplements and getting your oil? My coach told me if I had the lower-carb packets I would lose more inches (the cellulite diet?). She may have been humoring me as many weeks I lost inches but not pounds.

You also might want to try for closer to 100 oz of water. I found the weeks I drank more I lost more inches.

Good luck!

Everything effects people different. Yaz has never caused a weight fluctuation for me and it did not hinder my loss on this diet. I believe it to be one of the better BCP's...

Which packets are lower-carb? Thanks for the advice. I will try drinking more water (even though I am tired of having to pee all day long!!!)

Just as a warning about the BC that has nothing to do with your weight loss... IP is notorious for messing with BC and there have been several surprise babies on the forums in the last couple of years. Losing weight affects your hormone levels and people have gotten pregnant even being on the pill. Just FYI...

I switched from Loestrin to Seasonale in week 5, and my weight loss slowed down. Just my experience....

My coach told me to use a backup method. My backup method is that my boyfriend is currently 3k miles away!! Definitely thanks for posting that though. Very important info for sure.

Sounds perfect! Just wanted to make sure you didn't end up with an unexpected weight gain! ;) :preg:
