Happy Monday!
Im sure most hate Monday's but I love every second Monday as I go home from being out of town working. I am super excited to be stepping on the scale when I get home. I did have one bad day but have kept on track for the majority of the week :)
Have a fantastic week! |
Morning all! Super happy today as I broke into the 120's... I can't ever remember seeing this number out of my teens!!! That much closer to goal so yay!!!! Going for my 4 mile jog at lunch time and kinda glad we are cooler this week in CT!!! Hope the sun is when I go!!! Have a great OP day friends:):carrot:
|
Good Morning, Everyone! I hope everyone had a great weekend and are ready to get on track this week.
It is still hotter than blazes here in San Antonio. We spent about an hour or so in the pool yesterday and everyone came out with a mild sunburn, so we need to be more careful. Hope your Monday is cooler than ours.... |
Good Morning everyone!
Well this is day 2 of my IP Diet and I am just gonna say Yesterday was hard for me. I have a feeling this first week will be hard. But it will be worth it. Yesterday I had a chocolate drink packet for breakfast and it was good. The WF Bacon ranch dressing was Horrible!! and I didnt care for the Pink Lemonade drink either! Today is a new day though. The Vanilla RTD was good this morning. So hopefully today goes smooth here at work!! Hope everyone else has a great day also!! |
Happy Monday everyone!
It's a new week, a new slate, a new chance to make the right decisions and make this your best week ever! Today is a cool and rainy day (wet and miserable) and I am super happy to be at the office this morning: my children were so difficult this weekend! They were "button-pushers-extraordinaire" all weekend long. Those are the types of situations that usually incite me to eat (badly and too much). I was good though and got through it. I am also really looking forward to my tap class tonight too! I believe this is our last week before we break for the summer. Quote:

I know that everyone is different but, in general, I prefer the non-creamy WF dressings (Italian, Sun-dried tomato Italian, Sesame Ginger) to the creamy ones. The Thousand Island one is okay and is great for making tuna salad (in my opinion)! |
Yay I got through my first weekend on IP (actually my first 2 days)!!!! On day 3 now and glad the headache is gone from yesterday!!! Pretty excited to try some different foods today. i must say that the food is better than what i expected, and that cookies and cream bar........ TO DIE FOR!!!!!!

Good Morning Everyone,
I'm getting a little frustrated with a 'whoosh' day after WI and then it goes back up again - but still lower then the last weigh in. The internal fight that my body goes through to keep the weight on is really getting to me, but it won't make me quit. :) A small victory is still a victory but it can get on your nerves when you compare it to the cost of this program. When I'm feeling down I just come on here and read about others either sucess or frustration and it makes me feel not alone. So thanks to all of you who share! :) Have a great DAY! |

Good morning everyone, I hope you all had a great weekend, mine was busy but I really enjoyed it. Saturday went to a retirement party and got to visit with a lot of people and it was a perfect day not too cold not hot. We could sit outside or go inside. It was a nice day. Sunday was great, Rebel(my dog) and I did agility and she has improved and looks like she is over her injury that she did awesome. I love running with her on course as it is just the two of us as a team. I still miss running with my old dog Jewel as we were more insync, now that she is retired it is so hard to see the poor girl get old. She still wants to do agility but I won't let her so she is satisfied doing a tunnel every once and a while. Cleaned out my closet last night (two HUGE bags for clothing) and made room for size 12 pants my friend gave me. It is so cool that they all fit too. Some NSVs from the weekend: One of the ladies that does agility came up to me and said YOU have lost TONS of weight, I didn't recognize you. She made me laugh. A friend's husband also commented that I look really GOOD... nice to hear. A former co-worker said that I look much better (just after making sure I hadn't been sick). I also was looking through some photos at the retirement party and there was one of me when I left the department I was in, well this weekend I pulled the same clothes I wore when the picture was taken and they are far too big so I am now smaller than I was when I worked 12 years ago. I of course still see I have a long way to go, but I am getting there. Have a great week everyone.:carrot::carrot: |
Would anyone know if caffenine prohibits weight loss or interferes anyway with digestion? I have stalled the last 2 weeks in losing weight. I am just wondering if anyone else has experienced this? I haven't had coffee nor iced tea this weekend.

Good morning all!
Its a grey cool day here in Port Hardy BC, Canada. A perfect day for a walk..its not hot..its not cold..its like..Spring! Im thankful it never gets hotter than 15 degrees most days. Well...i am getting frustrated as heck sitting in limbo...Im doing alternative products and someone told me to order off of protein well.com and so i put in an order and it says my order is "pending" and i havent gotten a confirmation email to sys its being shipped and on top of it...therei s no number to contact the stupid place to ask why.. i had to email!! grrrrrr.... So i feel like a sitting duck who is just antsy to start the program..I suppose i could start using my whey protein shakes..only thing is ..they make me want to gag and two) its.. so low in carbohydrates im actually afraid its not enough carbs in a day..If i get desperate, i will start..but..all in all..im just plain frustrated..especially since i seem to be growing out of my only pair of jeans i have left.. Sigh. Well.. i hope your day goes better than mine...someone think good thoughts that it works out and gets shipped off today..im getting desperate!!! |
Morning to all! Busy weekend, wedding, car shopping, family and cutting my finger..HAHA. Stayed on plan thru it all.
Saw some family for the first time since I started IP, they were so supportive about the it which makes things much easier. Everyone try to enjoy Monday and do something good for yourself! |
Hello....hope everybody had a great weekend. Well got on the scale this morning and I think the "whoosh fairy" must have visited me. I'm down 4 lbs on my scale. Now to see what the scale on my official WI on wednesday will read.
Susie: I know what you mean about your kids driving you up the wall this weekend. Mine were the same way. I don't know what it was but man oh man...lol. But glad you didn't eat emotionally. Jo: Sounds like you had a great weekend with your dog. And great NSV's. Love it when people finally notice. To all the others who are having a hard time. Just think it's all in the moment. Keep yourself busy. Go for a walk, drink some water, the cravings will go away. Just think of the end results and of your health. Will have to go do some more grocery shopping this afternoon. It's a never ending story with a family of 6 and 2 teenagers. But I'm always there anyways buying the fresh veggies. I have no problem eating them..so yummy!! Well have a great day everybody!! |
Well...after my stressful weekend, I am in my "stall" week for weighing in.
I only lost 0.2 lbs this week. I can however say that even though my world was pretty much chaos and sadness..I stayed on plan!! Have a great monday all! |
Another weekend down.....and despite the miserable depressing weather Hubby and I stayed on track!! :carrot:
Have a super week everybody!!! |
So in just 5 weeks I am in the 260's and I am down 24 lbs. :encore:The last time I was here was a year and a half ago and a concentrated effort for 4 months to get weight off. I can not believe that I am losing this fast. I sometimes look at how far I have to go and think am I ever going to get there, then I have a weigh in like this and realize that it is very doable. I can not believe it. I know that many of you have had great success, but there are just times that the reality of this diet are amazing.:cheer:
Having successes like this are making the diet very easy and it is easy to resist temptation also with results like these. I am so glad that I started this and that in less than a year I am going to be at my goal weight. A weight that if I was truly honest with myself I did not think I would ever see. With this though I have the confidence that I will. Thanks for taking time reading this and letting me rant. have a great day all. Trish |

Happy Monday!
I too am one of those who like Mondays. I love my days off, but IP-wise, structure really helps! I'm hanging in there. I am continuing to go through my closet and try things on. I basically have to try on everything to see what fits. The other day I had an outfit planned in my head and when I put the pants on they fell off me so I had to scramble for another outfit. Today I'm wearing a pair of pants that hasn't fit in 3 years. :D I'm lucky I kept all of these old clothes or I'd be tying my pants up with twine. ;) I am struggling with what to do now as i am down to a minimal wardrobe and most of what I have is not summer wear. I'd hate to buy clothes only to be out of them in 6 weeks. I put all of my pants in the dryer today in an attempt to shrink them. Not sure that will work, but I'll see when I get home. I did drop some $$ on a few summer sweaters yesterday. I'm freezing all the time now. Reitmans had a rack of cheap sweaters, but I bought 2 in XL and one in L. The XLs are kind of big, but I figure sweaters are allowed to be big. I'm going for my (very overdue) physical on July 5 and I'm excited to see what my cholesterol and blood pressure will be. I was borderline high on both last time. I may even get to onederland by the time I go for my appointment! :carrot: Have a great day everyone! |
Hi, I just started IP today. :carrot: I am so excited to have found this diet and this forum. I have been reading all your posts for the last week or so and you have all motivated me to try this diet. So far, so good. I was a little nervous after reading how so many people didn't feel so good the first three days but I figure not feeling good for three days isn't so bad if after the three days I feel great. I hope everyone has a great week and I will keep you posted on my success.

I hope your order arrives soon! |
I've been having headaches and nausea for the past week after I take my supplements. To the point where I gag. Does this happen to anybody else and what can I do for it to go away?

Hope you feel better...I am betting it is the multi causing this issue. |

Morning everyone, hope u all had a great weekend! Mine went well, I even had to watch the family eat out and it didn't really bother me :). I just had my shake on the way and my cucumber on the way home...had one brief moment where I almost popped my toddlers left over chicken nuggets in my mouth out of habit but remembered in time!
Happy to be meeting with my coach today, I ran out of vanilla pudding which is like a staple for me....I had forgotten how much I depend on it and only picked up 3 for the whole week. Looking back on old food journals I had a vanilla pudding (made in to a coffee flavored shake) at least once a day. I also fell in love with the southwestern cheese puffs or whatever they're called so I'm definitely going to have to stock up on them! Have a great day everyone :) |
Jordanna, I just checked your blog. Charlotte is beautiful...Congratulations!

I actually do love the new broc cheddar soup, and the tomato as well! I have a problem at breakfast time...none of the breakfast foods work for me so I pretty much always start my day with a vanilla pudding made in to a shake...
I am planning on working my way through all the new foods but love love love the southwestern puffs because they are tasty and u get soooo many! |

Thanks Chikky Wit's, Beta Catarina and Joanne: I usually have them on a full stomach, don't know why it's still bothering me. I had to go lie down for about half an hour this morning, just because I didn't want to bring everything back up. Also I have noticed that if I drink water in the morning I feel nausea too. So I wait until after lunch to have most of my water and the evening.

Thanks for tips on the soy patty...might try it again, my first attempt was not so delicious :) |
Good morning all. Had a quiet weekend, which was good, since I had some low-level stomach upset. It seems better now.
My brother is coming to visit in July, so I am recommitted to staying OP. His wife has had an issue (well-intended?):( with my weight for years. I decided a long time ago not to yo-yo diet, and not to lose weight for anyone but myself. I am so happy that a friend told me about IP, and that it has been successful for me. I have moved out of my temporary stall at the 45 pound lost point --- thank goodness. Hope everyone has a wonderful week. |
2ride - thanks for the encouragement.
Joanne - sorry the supplements are making you sick Jordana - congrats on the baby smpnew - good luck with your brother visiting and your recommitment! I know that you can do it. |
hi everyone
i had my first weigh in this morning, and was ecstatic to see that i'm down 8.3 pounds! i woke up early at 6:30am even though it's a day off because I was just so curious. i managed not to have any restricted items for the past three days and i think it made a big difference. onwards and upwards to week 2, i know that the first week can be alot of water weight so we'll see what happens this week. definitely less hungry - for those in your first week - it does get easier with each day. |
Good morning. I am down -7.5 pounds in 12 days according to my scale. I WI tomorrow afternoon. I am hoping my WI won't be skewed by doing it in the afternoon. Normally, my WI is/will be in the morning.
Things are getting easier. I did drive 1/2 hour on Saturday to eat my soup for lunch and then went back to the garage sale I was working at. We had a birthday party yesterday. I had some chocolate pudding before we left so I wouldn't feel left out for not eating the cake. The grilled burgers, hot dogs, and sausages. I just ate a plain burger with no bun or anything. In general, I have been really suprised on how hungry I haven't been. (Except today, I ate my soup and veggies about 9 am!) I think it is retraining my brain. I used to eat because of boredom. |

Good afternoon all!
I'm just checking in to share that I managed to stay OP all weekend throughout my husband's 20th hs reunion! I stocked up on products and tried a few new ones - love the southwest puffs, hate the lemon pudding. It was a long tiring weekend of camping with my dd, since daddy was so busy visiting, but we all survived, and I'm so proud that I stuck to it. No change in my weight though, but I'm guessing it's because I didn't get nearly enough water in for all the exercise and sun we had. Hopefully be Friday it my determination will show on the scale! Glad everyone seems to have had a decent weekend. Here's to another OP day! |

Hi all, I am new to IP. I am finishing my third week this week. When I first started my coach did not weigh me in, so as of now I am down 5lbs. I am determined to stick to this... Does anyone know if you can chew sugarless gum?
|
Hi TinaCleg
The gum issue has come up quite a bit and people seem to have a different take on it. As long as you avoid aspertame, it is up to you. I was a big gum chewing machine and was told to try and avoid it. I had half a piece here and there over the first couple of weeks...but realized pretty fast that it was making me super hungry (gum makes me salivate enough to convince my tummy that it's getting some eats!!). This may not answer your question, but I thought I would share my experience |
Hi allSurvived the weekend. looking to stay on track till the end of the month. Goal is to be down another 7 lbs by the end of the month. Wish me luck
