Default Nausea after eating?

Hey all, I'm only in my 2nd week so hopefully this is something that goes away. But I've been having an upset stomach after my lunch almost every day. I'm usually OK after my non-IP packet dinner, but then I often get nauseous after my bedtime snack.

Anyone have any recommendations or similar expereince? I'm wondering if I just need some Tums or something (and are they IP OK?).

Thanks in advance!

I have been having nausea after eating too - like my body is averted by food! I don't know what to do either so I appreciate advice as well.

According to the handout, nausea can be triggered by abrupt decreases in sugar intake. It says that if it continues, your coach may want to put you on Ideal's alternative protocol for one week. The alternative protocol allows a limited amount of fast sugars so that you can taper off slowly. (This is the same type protocol used for adolescents and Type 1 diabetics).

I don't have that handout at work but I swear it's a symptom of ketosis which will eventually go away. OOPS - you already got the answer

Thanks for the info! I'll have to ask my coach about it tonight. I've been resorting to Diet Coke to settle my stomach, but I don't want to keep that up!

I'll let you know if I hear anything different from my coach.

For now my coach said to just keep track of when I feel icky and we're going to see if any foods/products seem to trigger it. Hopefully it's still just my body adjusting!

That's a good idea, it could be a food sensitivity to the sweeteners or soy products. Hope you feel better soon!

The chocolate soy puffs made me really nauseas. I haven't dared to try the other flavors because I assume it's the amount of soy/splenda in them, this coming from a vegetarian who was raised on soy products, LOL
