Always good to know !
If you like the iced tea lemonades, you could always get some of the individual serving True Lemon lemonade packets - they are made with Stevia. You could get an unsweetened iced tea and add a packet of the lemonade mix. Yum! One of my favorite drinks is to get the iced passion tea, add the lemonade packet and some SF orange syrup - this mimics my favoritest summery Starbucks drink!

My latest obsession is with zucchini and rhubarb. I shred the zuc and slice up a stalk of rhubarb, mix with sweetner and cinnamon and yum!!! Tastes like applesauce. I just made sure that I had something on hand that I know that I liked and then I tried one different veggie at a time. I figured if I didn't like something, I had an old standby to fall back on. So far, I have liked everything I have tried.
I am obsessed with rhubarb right now - I have made so much of it in the last few weeks!

I was not familiar with this product so I did a Google search and discovered that my local supermarket carries them. I also went to the website and found 20 things that you could do with this product. (I hope this is allowed) I'm including them below:

1. Drink more water (without changing your water into something sweetened)! Add a packet to a full glass or bottle (10 to 20 ounces) of cold water. (Like a stronger taste? Add two packets.)
2. Carry them with you so you always have fresh citrus taste on hand.
3. Use in place of lemon, lime or orange juice in recipes. (1 packet = 1 tablespoon of juice or, for a stronger taste, 2 packets = 1 tablespoon of juice)
4. Mix it up , combine True Lemon with True Lime; True Orange with True Lemon or find your favorite combo!
5. Make True Lemon-ade, True Lime-ade and True Orange-ade by combining with your favorite sweetener in a glass or pitcher.
6. Make food pop! Use True Lemon or True Lime as a salt-substitute to add flavor to food without adding salt.
7. Add to iced or hot teas.
8. Add to sparkling water or your favorite seltzer or soda* (10 to 20 ounces).
9. Replace fresh citrus in your favorite drink or cocktail.
10. Sprinkle True Lemon on broccoli, green beans, peas or other vegetables instead of salt.
11. Use as a rub or seasoning on seafood, meat or chicken.
12. Make lemon or lime butter by adding to butter or a butter substitute.
13. Sprinkle True Lime on popcorn or tortilla chips (try it on some of those soy chips)
14. Add True Lemon to tuna fish.
15. Sprinkle True Lemon on fresh fruits , strawberries, watermelon, raspberries, etc. (when we are allowed)
16. Make flavored ice-cubes. Add True Lemon, True Lime or True Orange to water and then pour into ice cube trays for flavorful ice!
17. Straight Up! Pour a packet directly in your mouth for a citrus kick!
18. Add some extra packets of True Lemon to a pre-made lemon cake or lemon bar mix to give it an extra lemon punch! (Wonder if I can add it to regular pancake mix.)
19. Sprinkle True Orange on vanilla ice cream or ice cream substitute. Make a snowcone!
20. Sprinkle True Lemon on apples, avocados or any fruit to stop browning. (again... when we are allowed).

This sounds like an interesting product. I'm going to try some the next time I go shopping. I'll let you know what I think. Sounds interesting, anyway!

Browneyes,

Thanks for the reminder to participate. I hover a lot, but don't post much.

I am a Phase 1-er. I've lost 46 pounds since mid February. For the last two- three weeks I have been taking a breather, so my loss has slowed to 1-2 pounds. I felt like I needed to get used to the "new" me before taking off again. My goal is a healthy body, and since BMI will determine that I don't know what my final goal is. I suspect that I am only 1/3 of the way there.

I realize that I need to get serious again, especially since my brother just announced that he is thinking of coming to visit from NC. He doesn't know that I am on any weight loss program, since I wanted to lose everything and surprise him and his family on a visit back east. Oh well!!!! Guess the universe is giving me a reminder that I do need to get going again.

I have loved the compliments. I find it very interesting that so many people want to tell me about their idea of a weight loss program. I waited a long time to find this one, and it has definitely been working for me.

Enough of a rant. Please send me good thoughts as I resume program and climb back OP!!!!

I had the tomato one first and it was ok, I forced myself to eat it. But the leek soup, I literally gaged...yuk!! I forced myself to eat half of it and I just couldn't anymore. Never ever again will I have those soups....lol. As for the blueberry cranberry granata I love them, but the lemonade I found it had that after taste so what I've done is just add more water and it's not as bad.

And your coach is probably right about the money that we all spend to get ourselves in this position. I thought it was expensive too and felt guilty but you know what my husband told me.....I'm worth it. This is for my health, for me, for my family. If I can't take care of myself, then who will be here to take care of my family. Plus he said I have to start thinking of myself and that's what I've done.

The pink lemonade...I was really excited to try it, but it tasted like the smell of moth balls. No thanks. In an effort to mix things up I am going to bake some rhubarb with splenda tonight and mix it with the vanilla pudding. Seems like a good idea!!
So, yesterday was WI4 for me and I am down another 3.5 lbs which after last weeks rather low number of 1.5 it was an absolute relief to have a 'larger' number again. My total weight lost is 15 pounds in 4 weeks! Prior to starting IP it had taken me six months to lose 20 pounds- so here's a great big thank you to IP! I really do enjoy this forum as regardless of where we are on the path we are all ON it TOGETHER. This sense of being in a pack- where the 'elders' or experienced ones who are now moving into Phase 2, 3 & 4 guide those of us still in Phase 1. I have picked up an incredible amount of information and tips that have led to this being an easy program to be on as I don't feel at all deprived. I choked down the chicken soup my first day swearing to myself that I would NEVER eat it again but I had to finish it. On my second day I discovered this forum thank goodness and I started experimenting. Chicken & Mushroom soups are actually quite tasty when you saute mushrooms in a bit of oil add the soup mix, some Himalayan rock salt and Mrs. Dash quite liberally. Tomato soup I find is best mixed with cauliflower and spicy Mrs. Dash, the Broccoli Cheddar soup is great alone or mixed with either broccoli or cauliflower. This way you are eating your veggies AND soup packet together which makes eating such a large amount of food much easier. My sweet tooth is alive and well regardless of being on IP and is being satisfied by- drum roll please... RHUBARB... never had it except in pie before and it is absolutely excellent even on its own stewed with a very little bit of water and add a packet of Stevia, some Cinnamon and Nutmeg and I sigh with contentment... ahhhhh. I get through 2 cups of it and I could absolutely eat 2 more it's so tasty! Turnip fries are also quite good but I found they need to be REALLY cooked so that the outside is crispy and the inside is soft! Although, I do have to admit to a rather dense moment- I had heard a lot of mention of Vanilla RTD and had always thought the RTD was a brand name it wasn't until this morning that I finally clued into the fact that RTD means Ready To Drink. Duh. So, so, so, so incredibly good in my coffee, I had been suffering terribly without my coffee and to have it be so good this morning with the Vanilla RTD was fantastic!!!
