I've just complete week 2 and feel great! I would say my best advice is to not try and figure out how to tweak and cheat. Do the program as it is. Don't cheat. And you will be thrilled with your results!

Could not agree more! I have had to go off for various reasons and it is very hard to get back into the groove. I am loosing steady but when you tweak you slow things down.

Also, eat your veggies! Look for recipes her on the site and the internet to make them interesting and delicious.

Best of luck to you!

Congrats, and good luck.

Don't cheat, drink your water, always have a packet or a bar on hand for emergencies, and make sure you eat all your veggies.

It WILL work. It can be lifechanging!

This is an amazing program. Do not cheat it will set you back at least a week. Early on in my journey I got the flu and had to eat toast and chicken soup. It is all that I could keep down. It set me back a whole week. Guess it was best to learn that early on. Now I am halfway to my goal and going strong.

Good luck! You can do it. I have my meeting with a IP coach tomorrow and I can't wait to get started. I found out about this program from a co-worker and she has had amazing results plus 6 months of maitenance. It can be done!

I agree! try your best not to cheat! Cheating would not be worth it, and the longer you stick to your plan, the shorter you will be on the diet! I have also found that reading the forums and various blogs really help me, its great to see that other people are going through the same struggles but have worked through them and look AMAING now!

Hi Maria - welcome. I started IP a week ago, I was very, very skeptical at first but what saved me in all honesty was finding this site! Check out my thread the title is does this Ideal really work, i need all the motivation, etc...those replies from everyone was what got me to stick to this.
THe 1st few days were hard for me, especially with everyone around me eating..but I stuck to it and I went in for my 1st weigh in last night and I lost 6lbs and inches too. I have not cheated nor do I plan on. I know that if I were to cheat it would mess it all up...it's not worth it. Its hard seeing so many temptations around, but when I think about it, its so much harder living my life the way I have been after gaining 100-110lbs...it ruined alot of things for me, I stopped living life and its the worst feeling. You can do this. Check out the recipe posts alot of great ideas. Today I had coffee with the vanilla prepackaged drink,it was great! One advice is don't overcook the soups...I did once an extra 30 seconds and it was yuck, lol... I just enjoyed a good portion size of the southwest cheese curls...delicious! Some people say u r not supposed to have restricted foods the 1st few weeks, but my doctor/coach told me I could. Every one is a bit different. Good Luck to you!!!!!!!!!!
